I bought a "certified" vehicle from this dealership. I was told the car went through a "rigorous inspection". My salesperson, Danny Koon, said this maybe 3 times total while I was buying the car. I had to take it back in for service because the splash guard was dragging and CV axles were bad. I also told them about my rear window not going up. They fixed the splash guard and CV axles, but I had to take it back a week later because the window still wouldn't go up. I was told they didn't even look at it. I had to take a video after going up there twice to prove it was the switch in the driver door. Now, the car has died. I took it in after work last week (service hours are until 6:30 pm) and was told they didn't have a mechanic available. They leave at 5. I got there at 5:45. The car is now throwing multiple system failures. I'm still under warranty, but Ben the service advisor tried to charge me $300 to fix. I refused. Preston, the service manager called today after I sent multiple emails about this. He made sure to tell me he was calling on a recorded line just to tell me how rude I was all while talking over me and interrupting me. Feels like he told on himself... The GM, Chris Burns, doesn't return emails or answer calls even though he gave me his card and said to reach out any time. This should NEVER have been a "certified" Honda. Preston told me on our phone call that I needed to be nicer if I wanted them to help me. Why wouldn't I be frustrated when it costs more to buy a certified vehicle? I informed him that he HAS to fix the vehicle as it's still under certified warranty. I ended up hanging up on him. Do NOT buy a car from this dealership. They treat you like crap and gaslight people. While I was in for one of these issues, they charged $160 diagnostic fee to a couple who came in for a recall, which should be free. It's a recall... The car is still there and I really hope there are no more issues because I am never coming back.

This place has sales people including a manager that does not know how to mange his people. Sales personnel laughing at a customer and a relentless salesman that kept following the customer even after getting very loud at him to go away. This is the worst place to buy a Honda, there are much better places within the Columbia/Lexington area. The only thing I will miss is the older gentleman in the repair department. He was the only nice person there.

The salesman was really nice, but when test driving he said they did a 80-90 point inspection (he couldn't remember exact but knew it was not the 120 point) on the used car I was trying. But I still felt good that it was getting a good amount of inspection even if not as much as the 120. I was very hesitant over the vehicle price and apr of the loan, so they were nice and let me think on it overnight without collecting the $500 deposit. I went back the next morning and got the car. While I was signing paperwork the salesman talked about wanting to post youtube videos about people thinking that salesmen are after money only, but then talked about how he got his salesman to come down on price when he bought his vehicle. It made me feel uncomfortable but chalked it up to him having a rough week. I had to meet with the used car manager Mr. C***** who gave me the number of the gentleman that needs to make me another key since there was only one. While writing the number, he said "I want you to know you're calling a black man." I said ok, and was told then it was a black man with a beard. I asked "What?" at that point and he said I want you to know you are calling a black man, not a white man. I replied that I don't care what color a person's skin is as long as they can do the job. (He said this in front of the salesman that's from Romania and has a nice tan color skin compared to me. That was really bothersome and the first thing I told my friends when they saw the car.) Fast forward four days and I had the error light, door open signal, and interior light flash on and off while driving to work. I took the car in and they didn't seem to believe me until driving the car and seeing it. Then it was thrown back on me that it was "user error" because I moved the interior light dimmer switch. I didn't even know it was there, but how does a dimmer switch affect the door open warning light on the dashboard? They said to trust them. Well, a day and a half goes by and it's back on. On top of this I asked for the inspection report and it turns out it wasn't the 80-90 point I was told, but rather a safety inspection only. When speaking with Mr. C***** again, he said I must have misunderstood the salesman and then told me I signed the paperwork so it's on me. I was upset and explained that I trust the salesman telling me it's been looked at when I sign the papers because I am not a mechanic. The conversation went on and I left defeated and feeling like they were out to get me and now that they had my money that was that. I took the car to *** ****** Toyota and they were so nice. They confirmed it was not user error or the dimmer switch but, rather a latch, which they fixed for free, since I was paying for an inspection after not trusting the Honda dealership. It made me feel so much better that they were taking care of me and that it wasn't my fault that the error lights and such were coming on. All of this was in less than one week of buying the car. I still have concern driving it since I feel like Honda was in a rush to get the car out the door and it seemed a little shady. I think in time I will feel more confident, but nothing like paying $18K for a car and this many problems within days of buying it. My overall experience and especially the condescension I felt from Mr. C***** left me feeling downhearted and will never recommend this place to anyone. I understand there is a chip shortage and cars are in demand, but I think the treatment would have been the same had this not been an issue. I hope that anyone else that goes there has a much better experience than me, and if you are thinking about going there, make sure you have the facts in paperwork, do not just take them at their word.
