Our home was damaged 12/24/2022 and we contracted with Melvin W******* to complete extensive repairs. We got permission from the Insurance Company to begin work. They gave us approximately $63,000 for the repairs. Melvin was constantly asking us for money to continue working which we continually gave him. Spring of 2023 he left the work indicating he would be back to complete but never returned. He left walls uncompleted and replaced no insulation in my upstairs bathroom area (where the pipes had frozen) there was additional finish work undone. He again called us saying he was coming and asked for more money to rent the machine for the insulation, but once again never showed up. We overpaid him by approximately $3000 and won't return phone calls or texts.. I can come up with exact amounts paid from the Insurance Company and additional funds paid by us.
