We booked 2 fishing charters on 2-2-22 from North Myrtle Fishing Charters. We were billed $126.30 for the first trip (2 people) and $324.77 (5 people) for the second as a deposit. (We have this on file with our credit card company.) The first trip was cancelled due to mutual consent because of a coastal storm that was coming (May 13, 2022). Captain ***** said he would use the deposit towards our next trip in July. Second trip (July, 13,2022) was cancelled by Captain ***** because his boat's motor blew and he did not have a replacement. Again Captain ***** said he would just rebook us and use the deposit money towards the November trip. November 18, drove to Myrtle Beach and called Captain ***** to confirm our trip for the next day only to find out he had the flu and needed to cancel. We have called and texted Captain ***** for our money back since November 18th. Every time we have contact, ( 11-18-22: 11-19-22; 11-28-22; 12-6-22; 12-16-22; 12-28-22; 1-3-23) he blames issues with his card company or says that he doesn't have the correct paperwork with him at the time and will take care of it as soon as he gets home. We have the text to prove the conversations. The last contact (1-3-23) he said he would mail us a check. Today is 1-17-23 and we have still not received a refund.

We booked an offshore fishing charter for 25aug2022. It clearly stated in the description that we would be fishing 20 miles offshore on wrecks and reefs. The confirmation was for a 3/4 day offshore charter for 5 people for a cost of $970.69. We showed up for the charter and were taken trolling for Spanish mackerel within 1 mile of myrtle beach shore. Never going offshore. I questioned the mate and the captain when they planned to do something other than trolling in shore and was told that the plan was just to troll in shore. When our time was up we went back to the dock and I went to hand over the remaining balance of the charter which was $786. The captain tried to extort an additional $90. Stating our 5th person incurred an additional charge. I stated that we had booked a 20 mile offshore trip and received an inshore charter trolling for 12 inch Spanish mackerel. The captain got heated and said we will call it a wash for the additional $90. I paid him the $786 We owed and tipped the mate $190. Then we left. I feel that this captain committed fraud and should be punished for it.
