We hired Kenneth to move a modular office building for us the end of Juy, he promised to start the project by August 18. He ignored phone calls and did start when he promised, he finally came and moved it September 18, and we paid him a partial payment of 11,000. He was supposed to move the attached porch when he moved the building but did not do that even though he promised he would, finally came back for that on October 2, meanwhile our building which is for a church is sitting there sagging and getting stress cracks in it, at our site not put back together or a foundation started, even though that was promised to happen as soon as it was moved. I've been calling and texting for about 3 weeks with no response from Kenneth. We are very unhappy with all the empty promises and no communication, especially after we have paid him 11,000. We need this resolved ASAP we need this building badly for churchBusiness response

Business Response /* (1000, 16, 2021/11/22) */ K&C Construction Services Response: In response to the complaint, I, Kenneth W***, was hired to move a modular building. The moving crew became sick with COVID 19, which delayed the move to begin on Aug. 18th. I shared this with the client, Mr. ***** *****, and he was understanding about the situation. After I shared this with Mr. *****, he repeatedly called on a daily basis, in which I did not answer because this amount of phone calls were excessive due to the fact that I had already spoken with him and shared that we would come and move the modular units when all of the workers had recovered and well enough to do proceed with the project. Unfortunately, recovery time took a little longer for some of the workers. Once we received a date from the movers, I contacted and informed Mr. ***** when we would be able to begin the project. Please Note: I did not receive any money from Mr. ***** until the day of the move. Our original agreement was for our company to break down the modular unit, move it and set it back up. Per agreement, we are 75% completed, and the $11,000 received is 50% of project cost. Moving the porch was an additional cost that was added after the original agreement and after the movers recovered from CoVid. When we returned to move the porch, it was then discovered that the porch was rotten. Mr. ***** or one of the representatives from the church had to get a dumpster for us to tear the porch down and dispose of it. To date, we have not received payment for this added portion to the project. The modulars were never set up because the county required drawings in order for our company to put it back together. This was something that either myself or Mr. ***** were aware of, and I had to contact an architect for the drawings, and he said he would try to fit it into his workload that he already had. I shared this with Mr. ***** who repeatedly contacted us daily after being told we were waiting on the architect. I also shared with Mr. ***** if he could find an architect to have the drawings done, that would be good also, and we would go ahead and assemble the modular unit back together. At this point, I have decided to absorb the cost of the work that was done and have only received 50% of funds. The verbal agreement was to break down, deliver and set up the modular unit. We have done the breakdown and the delivery, and also additional work of tearing down and disposing of the rotten deck. The only part left to do is the set up of the modular unit. Since the architect I work with is so backed up and unable to get the drawings done in Mr. *****'s time frame, and with the unnecessary excessive phone calls, even after I have shared with Mr. ***** about him getting another architect, we have decided to absorb the costs of work done without expecting any future payments and would like Mr. ***** to have someone else finish the last step of setting up the modular unit whenever the plans are received.
