    I had work done on my brakes on January 19th, 2024 at 3 PM. I needed knew brakes and rotors and I found a coupon on *******.The owner told me I needed front and back brakes and told me not to buy the ******* because something about the caliber and pistons and the brakes were so bad they were close to locking up. He quoted me $380 for the front and back rotors and brake pads and oil change, but I only had $160 at the time. I was going to purchase the groupon coupon which would have covered it. The owner tells me, he'll take the $160 for the front and I can wait to get the back done, when I have the rest of the money. He didn't feel comfortable letting me get on the rd with the brakes in the shape they were in. When I drove off they seemed worse than when I took it in, because I would have trouble stopping when I went to brake and would follow cars way behind and start to put on my brakes, far ahead of time to come to a stop. I end up taking it to ***** in Easley. The owner never returned my phone call to complete the back brakes and at the time I didn't realize they screwed me over. ***** calls me when they inspect my car and tell me that the brake pads in the front were changed, but Sequoia Motors cut one of the rotors too far to about a 1/4 an inch and left the other as it was and that the back breaks were fine. ***** service guy, who did my brakes, told me that it was the worst job, in all the years he's been a mechanic, they had ever seen someone do on brakes!!!! They put me and everyone on the road in harms way and put me in worse shape than I was when I brought it in! I was almost in tears thinking how I had driven around with my daughter and her friends in a death trap like that!! It cost me almost $400 to get new rotors. It would have been more, but they told me I could keep the brake pads that were already put on.

    I went to this shop against my judgment. I thought that all the bad reviews were lies. Jay the owner ended up stealing $100 from me when he refused to give me an itemized receipt and a refund, I was told to **** *** his wife the money for a battery replacement. Only to find out the battery he installed was never going to run my car. After I brought this to his attention he refused to refund me the money and he then told me it was my job to go to the auto parts store he bought it from and ask for a refund. In order for the auto parts store to give me a refund they needed a receipt. His front desk then said they have no record of me being there. When he installed the battery he told me the battery alone costed $140. Never mentioning any installment fees. After he refused to provide me with any type of receipt. He said he was calling the cops, all I wanted was the receipt so that I could properly ask whoever I needed to ask for my refund. I ended up going to parts store that he bought it from and they were quick to tell me that they don’t have any batteries that cost $140, they then informed me that the battery he charged me $140 for costed less than $50. They asked that I get the receipt where Jay purchased the battery for $140 from them. Jay was unable to produce any type of receipt. Even after I was no longer at his establishment he continued to threaten to call the cops. All because I wanted an itemized receipt of why he charged me $149 and some change. He refused to call the auto parts store while I was there to explain why I needed my $140ish dollars refund. Only to find out that the reason he wouldn’t provide the receipt or call the auto parts store is because it would clearly show that he lied about the price of the battery and over charged my by $100. I agreed to authorize the payment of $140 that he had told me was the cost of battery. I did not agree to pay him and extra $100 just because. He is a thief and all the negative reviews are true.
