    The practice provided medical anesthesia services for a routine colonoscopy in the month of April 2022. Payment for this service was remitted by me to the Palmetto Anesthesia Charleston LLC on June 16, 2022. My insurance provider, United Healthcare, paid for the procedure resulting in an overpayment. As a result, I have been working with this business to obtain a refund due to me in the amount of $350.00. I have been told by the billing office for the company that I need to wait 90 days for a refund to be made. After waiting out 90 days I was then told the payment office was closed due to mold and needed to wait 3-4 weeks. I tried again after a month and was told the same thing about the mold, and I asked to have the issue escalated to management and asked for a call. No call was ever received, and no payment was issued. I called billing again today and received confirmation that the issue was escalated but no payment was issued, and that they would refer the matter back to a manager yet again. This has taken 5 months so far and no refund has been issued. I believe that such a simple issue should be able to be handled by this business in a more immediate timeframe.
