Home Telephone agreed to allow me to keep my email account with them when I stopped my internet svc due to a move in 2019. I was charged for the service since 2019. On June 27th my email account was turned off permanently with zero advance notice. I called and spoke with Tisha in Customer Service who told me my email couldn’t be turned on as a stand alone service. I explained that everything in my life was connected to that email acct and I needed it back to access acct info. Tisha worked it out where I was able to keep my email for 30 days to move everything. A day and a half later my email was turned off again. I called on Monday to find out why and was told they didn’t know why but would have someone from the business office call me back. Tisha called me and put me on hold to go talk to someone. She was sent back to me to tell me that my acct was gone and couldn’t be turned back on. I have emails from deceased loved ones in that email, pictures of my children in that email, all of my business emails and password access to all of my business and personal accounts. I need access to that acct and would like Home Telephone to follow through on their promise to give me 30 days to access my emails seeing as they disconnected my account with no notice. I purchased the 2 gigabyte internet service through home telecom back in March 2023. I only had internet services with them for a few months. The internet was very spotty, often completely down for an hour or two everyday day. I called customer support time and time again and was told many times that they saw no problems on their end so there wasn’t anything wrong with the service. They would not replace the equipment. They would not schedule a time for a technician to come out so I could make sure I was home. They would send a technician at random times and days, always when I wasn’t home due to work. They one time they did tell me what day a technician would come to my home I stayed home from work to wait. The technician never showed. I called in several times asking to speak to management and made many complaints. I finally canceled my services and went with another company. Now they are trying to say I owe them money. They never fixed my internet, caused me constant stress for months, and were the cause of me losing hours at work. I always found out that the equipment couldn’t even process 2 gigs and only went up to 1 gig of internet. They lied to me and sold me 2gigs when they only ever provided 1 gig. The WiFi was never above a few hundred megabits per second. Horrible Service and horrible customer service. I feel like I was completely lied to and taken advantage of and now they still want to steal more money and time from me. Also they never reimbursed me for the extra money spent for 2 gigs of internet that I never received. Home telecom is a thief.
