I purchased the 2 gigabyte internet service through home telecom back in March 2023. I only had internet services with them for a few months. The internet was very spotty, often completely down for an hour or two everyday day. I called customer support time and time again and was told many times that they saw no problems on their end so there wasn’t anything wrong with the service. They would not replace the equipment. They would not schedule a time for a technician to come out so I could make sure I was home. They would send a technician at random times and days, always when I wasn’t home due to work. They one time they did tell me what day a technician would come to my home I stayed home from work to wait. The technician never showed. I called in several times asking to speak to management and made many complaints. I finally canceled my services and went with another company. Now they are trying to say I owe them money. They never fixed my internet, caused me constant stress for months, and were the cause of me losing hours at work. I always found out that the equipment couldn’t even process 2 gigs and only went up to 1 gig of internet. They lied to me and sold me 2gigs when they only ever provided 1 gig. The WiFi was never above a few hundred megabits per second. Horrible Service and horrible customer service. I feel like I was completely lied to and taken advantage of and now they still want to steal more money and time from me. Also they never reimbursed me for the extra money spent for 2 gigs of internet that I never received. Home telecom is a thief.Initial Complaint

I have an on going issue with Home Telcom. My services have not work correctly for over a month. I have had issues with speed, I am contracted for 50 I'm getting 5.7. I have had issues with my modem remaining connected. Yesterday alone it was dropped from the internet more then 6 times. I was told my modem would be repaired or replaced. Never happened. I was told a technician would be dispatched. Never happened. I believe my account should be credited. I'm contracted for and paying for a service I am not getting.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2021/08/25) */ Home Telecom received the last trouble from the customer on August 18, 2021. Home Telecom has worked with the customer to solve the trouble; worn connectors on the modem. Once we replaced the modem, we believe we have solved the customer's issue. Thank you, Home Telecom
