I checked into Coral Beach hotel on 6/30-7/9. Paid $4,200 for our stay in ********. At arrival, room smelled like mold, mildew + was hot. While unloading our car, I slipped and fell on the kitchen floor hurting my arm. I called the front desk for housekeeping to fix the slick floor.The maid wet mopped the floor. I had to ask her to dry the floor.The hotel manager looked at my arm and gave me a 2nd parking pass as compensation. My arm continued to hurt and bruise during the week causing extreme pain.After we moved in we had to call maintenance about the *** They turned the setting down but it never got cool. We called them later in the week but the living room area was hot the entire week. We closed the curtains to cool it down thus never enjoyed the oceanfront view we paid for. It was like living in a cave. The back bedroom is another story. It smelled like a rotten swamp. We called housekeeping many times about the smell.They sprayed the room with ***** but it would quickly dissipate. It was like we were sleeping in a swamp. In the 10 days we were at the Coral Beach, we had our room cleaned once.There were bugs and roaches crawling on the floors, walls, and beds.There was black mold and mildew on the bathroom walls.The rug at the entryway to our room was soaking wet from the outside hallway. There was a cup of urine beside the Pepsi machine which was directly outside our room.The stench was unbelievable. It also smelled like vomit.The pool was so dirty that it was unusable. It was so murky that I was scared to get into it. One day it was covered with black ants. I love a dip in the pool after a day on the beach, but the pool was so gross that I was scared of disease.All in all, this was the worst beach stay I have ever had. We would have left but were there for a dance competition and could not find another hotel over the 4th of July to accommodate our stay. Ive stayed at the Coral Beach several times and never had this experience.It was my worst beach stay ever.Initial Complaint

I took my family to coral beach resort, totaling in $1405.00 we arrived at 10pm and got to the room #354 it smelled like mildew, we didn't think anything of it after being on the road 15 hours on 8/23 I was using the bathroom when the light fell out of the ceiling on to my head, I went down to the desk and told them they did send maintenance and it was fixed however I was not contacted or even so much apologized to, following to 8/24 I called for towels because we have not received towels all but one day of our 6 days stay I called down to the desk & towels were brought to me and the manager of housekeeping called me explaining dnd was on my door and that's why I haven't received towels however I do have a one year old who naps on a schedule so dnd was put on my door from 2-4 everyday so my son could nap, maintenance had no problem in my room because our tv worked when it wanted to and microwave as well, overall coral beach did not handle my stay well I was truly unhappy with the money I spent considering things were falling out of ceiling, ppl weren't accommodating with their own jobs, & appliances working when they wanted to, if I could of went home early I would of went but when I mentioned leaving early to the girl who took my complaint about the light and smell of mildew she said I would be chargedBusiness response

We have a longstanding satisfaction guarantee policy that provides a full refund for any guest who chooses to check out early for any reason. Our extensive internal notes in relation to the guests experiences do not reflect that the guest ever inquired regarding checking out earlier than their originally planned departure date. I checked into resort on 8/13/22. When I checked into resort staff was rude right off the bat. While I was checking in the attendant said that he had some irate customers to his co worker next to him referring to me. Also they were made comments of guests in front of me. Very unprofessional I would never expect this coming from a hotel that charges $450 a night. When I spend this kind of money I expect at least to be treated nicely and greeted respectfully. To the room, the bathroom had mold growing and rust all over the toilet. The balcony we could not use because we were poolside and people were sitting right there no privacy. When I spoke with management they did not apologize for the situation and told us we couldn't have gone elsewhere. Management here needs to take a course on customer service and dealing with situations. At least you can offer an apology. I would never stay here again or refer any of my friends or family. I planned to have a nice week long vacation booking with this hotel was a nightmare. I have seen reviews saying there is blood stains and mold growing and management does nothing. This establishment needs money put into it. This hotel is not clean, full of mold, it is not meeting the standards for safety for any guests.Initial Complaint

Reservation Confirmation number ******, check in 4/29/22-5/1/22, cost $458.60. On the first day, we discovered that the beds that we slept in had not been changed and had blood spots on the sheets. There was also blood spots on the throw pillow. On day two the housekeeper confronted us in our room and told us that the room was actually cleaned and stripped by her supervisor prior to our arrival and if it was not cleaned then she would have been fired. Hotel and housekeeping mgmt apologized and said that she should not have said anything to us. They offered a $25 resort credit and 20% off of one night. Day one should have been refunded considering the conditions we unknowingly slept in. Day two should have been refunded because of the confrontation by the housekeeper and the amount of time that had to spent attempting to get the issue resolved which could have been better spent, enjoying the resort. I have already talked to hotel management personally, as well as via text and I sent an email. I was advised that the above mentioned offer was all that could be done. I am seeking a refund for the two nights spent or a comparable complimentary stay for a later date.Business response

The amount was $25 resort credit, a refund of $44 and a refund of $100.
