My wife and I decided to take a weekend vacation to the beach we arrived at Sandcastle Resort and was told they did have vacancies after I ask them how much it was for the room I asked him how much for the military discount which is advertised on their website the person at the front desk call the manager and the manager told me they did not have such discount reluctant to stay we did because there was no other available rooms at any other hotels to this day I still have not gotten an explanation as to why it's advertised on their website but they were unwilling to honor the discountBusiness response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/03/19) */ We can honor the military discount, IF the reservation is made online. We can't honor military when the reservation is a walk in. Our computer does not have a way to include the discount. That is why you did not receive a discount.Initial Complaint

I stayed at the Sandcastle Resort South Beach, in Myrtle Beach SC, for spring break this year. Me & my 2 small children went April 6-11 2021. On our last morning there my children woke me up in a panic. All of our belongings, all of our devices, and everything we brought was under water. I spoke with the general manager and was told the room beside us toilet had flooded. I was comped for my stay and was told that they would file with their insurance to reimburse me for my things. Many months later and I have not been reimbursed and I have been given the run around. All of electric devices were plugged in and sparks were flying. My children could have been seriously injured. I have pictures and videos of the room and the conversation with the manager. I filmed the conversation so I would have evidence and I filmed the room because I had never been in a flood of that magnitude. There were roaches running from the water that I got on video. I am so happy that nobody was injured but all of my belongings had toilet water in them and were destroyed. I got the contact info of the other guest involved who also had her room flood. The room was absolutely disgusting (I've attached pictures) and I don't believe this place should be in business . Any help would be so greatly appreciate.
