We contracted with MJM Custom Building and Remodeling in October 2021 to build a sunroom. They finally installed the sunroom in March of 2022. After the installation it started leaking around all the windows and sliding glass door. They came out numerous times to fix the leaks, then stopped. Its now November 2023 and the sunroom continues to leak. We have sent MJM Construction numerous texts and photos (over 15) showing the leaks, and MJM has continued to ignore us. Also, after the sunroom installation, we found the windows to be difficult to open and close. As with the leaks, MJM had chosen to ignore the problem. Finally in April of 2023, after a major storm, one of the windows almost fell out. At this point we were fed up with MJM ignoring us so we contacted the company the windows were purchased from (NOT MJM) and they sent a technician out to inspect the windows. It was found that the windows had numerous manufacturer defects and needed to be replaced. He also found that the window frames were not square and that we should contact the contractor and let them know so they can fix it. We let MJM know about the window frames not being square and again they chose to ignore us. It is now November of 2023 and the windows and screens have been replaced by the window manufacturer with NO help from MJM. At this point we are totally frustrated and upset with MJM and are at a loss on what we can do now. The windows and sunroom door still leak. The window frames are not square causing the windows to be uneven and the sunroom door is sticking and doesnt move smoothly and the sliding screen door doesn't move at all. It has been over two years since we contracted with them and this project is still not completed. MJM is the most difficult and agonizing contractor we have ever dealt with. They are undependable, argumentative, unreliable and tend to stretch the truth. Not a company we would recommend to anyone and definitely will never do business with again.
