I moved in a condo ****, 2021 my children bought for me. Everything was brand new. ****** ***** ******** **** ****** *** Surfside Beach SC takes care of the HOA for this community. HOA hired Monarch Roofing, **** ******** ****** Myrtle Beach SC. to repair the roof on all of the building. Unfortunately the HOA did not do any research on this company Monarch Roofing or didn't care to save money.
Monarch Roofing used my baloney as a dumpster breaking a patio umbrella and damaging two other umbrellas. They put a tarp over my three open umbrellas and threw 20 -30 plus pounds of old roofing on top of my umbrellas with gutters, rusty nails, paper and empty water bottles. Turned my new wicker patio furniture on its side and put a glass table on top,
This company destroyed my balcony. I HAVE PICTURES.. I was not notified by the HOA, ****** ******** to REMOVE anything from my baloney. Monarch Roofers at the same time changed my three skylights. Opening and shutting the skylights as a door by doing this let dirt roofing grime bugs into my condo making a mess. Both HOA and Monarch Roofers refuse to take responsibly for the damage that was caused. HOA position is Monarch Roofers caused the damage so they refuse to pay for the damage.. Monarch Roofers refuses to pay for the damage because they said the HOA should have told me to remove my patio furniture
Now I'm caught between two companies who will not take responsible for the damages to my baloney or inside of my condo.

Monarch Roofing replaced our roof December 28, 2021. In the process the workers destroyed our gutters in 2 places, both of them corners. We contacted the supervisor, who stopped by the next day and inspected them with us. At first he said that the company wasn't liable because the workers were contracted to do the work. I told him that was ridiculous and they were still liable for the damage. He said he'd be back the next day to caulk them and they would be good as new. He caulked them and they not only look ridiculously ugly, but they now leak. We never had a problem before the work was done, but now we have ugly and destroyed gutters. When we contacted them again they said that I signed a form saying that I agreed to have them wave the drop fee of $279.00 which was an outright lie, I never signed anything. After repeated attempts to contact them and get a solution to our dilemma, and being tossed from one person to the other with no attempts on their part to fix the gutters, I was finally given the number of the manager. When I called him, and after his attempts to downplay it, he agreed to replace the gutters within the next 2 days. That was a full week ago. Again, I contacted the office and the manager but could only leave messages repeating my dissatisfaction with the handling of the problem. They still have not done the work promised and have not called me back, though today their work crew are replacing the roof next door. Also, when they were doing the work here, they drove on our lawn, leaving an 8 inch deep rut in our front yard. Again, no attempt to rectify the situation, though they saw it and admitted it was their fault. The sod alone will cost upwards of $200 to fix. The truck was driven by one of the worker's wives, who let her toddler walk around our yard among the dangerous debris all around the house and yard. This is the most unreliable and untrustworthy company I have ever dealt with and we regret ever contacting them in the first place. Beware.

I had the company do a repair to my roof. They estimated the price was $624.23. They repaired the roof in 45 minutes using 2 people, but I was charged 3 hours labor. Also, I was charged for 6 each step flashing when one was only used. Finally, I was charged for 0.25 % of a 100 ft roll of GAF WeatherWatch Ice & Water Shield. They only used 12 feet. When I called, the gentlemen laughed at me when I contacted them. I feel that the estimate should be reduced to the actual price of the job.
