I hired them to repair the deck and replace the roof. The deck had no issues. However, the roofing became a problem when they told me they were not going to do the roof due to illness in company and they promised me they would refund me. I agreed. They never provided the refund of 2000.00. They wrote me a check for 3000.00 which did not clear the bank. They did give me 1000.00 once I informed them the check did not clear. They still owe me 2000.00, not to mention the bank fees i incurred from the bounced checkBusiness response

Most communication was via text as Chris tends not to answer his phone. **/**/21 - Paid $900 (see attached check image) to Chris for materials to do gutters. Chris cashed it on that date. After many texts, see attached, on **/**/22, Chris said he would mail a check to refund. **/**/22 - Chris claimed to have mailed a check **/**/22 - Texted that no check, as far as we can tell, he never sent it. he called and asked us to drive to North Augusta. **/**/22 - Filing complaint to get our refundBusiness response

Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2022/04/14) */ Via phone with BBB staff **: We are working with the consumer to resolve in regard to the refund. Consumer Response /* (3000, 13, 2022/04/15) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) They have neither contacted us nor sent a check since the email on **/**/2022. It's not that hard to mail a check, not sure what they mean by "working with the consumer". Business Response /* (4000, 15, 2022/04/24) */ Money refunded plus 11% Consumer Response /* (2000, 17, 2022/04/26) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) We received a refund by cashiers check (finally). We are ok with the resolution.
