I had to unexpectedly euthanize my dog on 11/13 and Good Shepard Pet Services were responsible for the cremation service. They asked if I would like to also pay for a clay paw print and hair clippings for $68.00. I agreed and they immediately charged my debit card. One week later I was informed my dogs cremains were available for pickup at the veterinary hospital. On arrival to the office I only had the urn. The Veterinary office assured me the additional items would have come with the remains in the same bag. They also searched their facility in the event it was misplaced. Nothing was found and it seemed the paw print and hair clipping were not completed. I have reached out to Good Shepard on several occasions regarding my complaint and I have consistently been told “Jodie” is in charge of this and will call me back. I have never received a call back from him, even after leaving voicemails on his direct business line. During a time of emotional distress, the way this company has handled the situation is unacceptable.Business response

Good Shepherd works in conjunction with ********** ************ ******** ******** to perform the cremations of their clients pets. After speaking with Jody, he informed me that he has indeed spoken to the owner and explained the we have documentation at the office that we did complete the clay paw and the clipping of hair. The clay paw and the clipping of hair were not in our service bag when he picked up his pet from the clinic. Jody explained that based on our findings everything was completed as requested. He also shared with the owner that if the clay paw and hair clipping show up, that we will contact him and get those items to him. We have also reversed his charges on his debit card, regardless if and when the clay paw and hair clippings are found.
