I have had horrible customer service from Windsor. On 12/3/21 I visted the Windsor store at Northwoods Mall. I saw customers going in and out of the dressing rooms and asked employee if I could try on a couple dresses in order to determine what size I needed. She told me that they were closed even though I could see other customers in the dressing rooms at the time. I purchased both sizes and a jacket to try on at home, I spent $123.93. I later returned the dress that did not fit and the jacket. The employee doing my return was very rude, and continued talking with her coworker instead of working on my return. Then, after removing the tag on the $36.90 dress and putting it on, one of the straps broke while I was getting ready to leave my house (less than an hour after putting the dress on). I emailed customer service on 12/12/21 explaining the issue and their response was "We are sorry to hear you had a problem with your recent purchase. Please contact the store directly where you purchased the dress to get an exchange or refund." I responded that I would prefer if this could be handled without me having to go back to the store since it is far from my home and this location had terrible customer service. They answered:Unfortunately, in store purchases are not handled by the Windsor Customer Service Team. However, we highly encourage you to speak with a Store Manager to make any exceptions regarding exchanges, returns or store credit. We would like to officially apologize for the situation and the inconvenience it has caused. They offered 30% off my next online or in store purchase. I returned to the store to attempt to exchange the dress for the exact same dress hoping that it would not also be defective but when I spoke to the employee there she immediately said that since I took the tag off they wouldn't do anything to resolve my issue. I would like either a refund for the purchase price or replacement as I no longer wish to shop with Windsor again.
