I had a recent vacation with 2 properties rented throughout Seaside Vacations July 16-23 2022 at Cresent Keyes. The website for this property states that there are 2 kiddie pools; one on the ground floor and the other on the 6th floor courtyard. The 6th floor courtyard also includes a sun deck, hot tub and lazy River. The initial reservation of the 2 units was started 4/5/2022 which included half of the deposit for both units and the remainder was paid 30 days before the scheduled arrival. Upon arrival to the property there was a sign stating that the 6th floor courtyard was under construction and not available for use. This was not noted on their website nor was I informed. This 6th floor played a big part in the decision to choosing this property. Since it has 14 floors and most rooms are 3 bedrooms, this would provide an extra area for the kids. This is also a second lazy River and hot tub for the grandparents to enjoy that may not be as crowded. When I reached out to Seaside vacations. They said they were not responsible and offered no solution. As the week went on there was only one of the 2 hot tubs that were in use. The one that was not functional contained debris and water, not secure and easy for a child to fall in. The elevator floors in all 3 consisted of a black matting that had an odor. It resembles what you would lay down before putting the real floor down. The website also states that it doesn't allow pets but there are signs in the elevator that allow pets and owners were seen with them. When we called to report an issue that a remote for the TV was not working we never had the issue resolved so my husband ended up fixing some of the problems since no one could come. Refrigerator shelf was held together with black electrical tape. The one lazy River that we could use was not clean. The walls looked like they haven't been scrubbed since it was opened and lots of brown flecks floating around. I don't expect to pay $7000 for this.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/08/04) */ At the beginning of the summer we were informed that Crescent Keyes would be shutting down the 6th floor amenities which include a lazy river, hot tub and kiddie pool due to repairing water pipes, replastering and refurbishing and putting a new deck coating down. They advised us that the work would be completed by the first Saturday in July. We did discount reservations up to that date. Apparently, the schedule was changed, and the work was not completed unbeknownst to us. We investigated further and on behalf of the homeowner we can offer you a 10% discount on each reservation as we did with all the other guests. The discount would be $303.18 on each reservation for a total of $606.36. Due to us not knowing about these issues before your arrival, therefore not informing you, we would like to offer you an additional 5% on each reservation bringing your total refund for both reservations $909.54. With reference to 'pets on property, the property that you rented is a condominium that is a residential home within the development of Crescent Keyes therefore owners are allowed to have pets but visitors and guest are not. We appreciate you letting us know about the remote and the shelf in the refrigerator and we are taking care of those issues currently. Your concerns are very important to us, and we do appreciate you sharing them. Again, we truly apologize if you were disappointed.
