Date: March 1 March 31, 2023 Paid: $3160.77 ** Committed to Provide: From website: This 4 Bedroom/3 Bathroom end unit oceanfront condo is located on the 13th Floor of Crescent Shores North Tower in the Crescent Beach section of NMB. At **** sq ft, the condo has a comfortably sized living room with flat screen cable TV and DVD player and free high speed wireless internet, but no sleeper sofa. The 26' ocean front balcony allows access from the Living Room and Master Bedroom. Nature of Dispute: Business didnt disclose planned construction during stay. Construction caused disruption, noise, and loss of use oceanfront balcony (important part of unit) for entire period; also frequent loss of privacy due to workers on balcony and balcony furniture being stored in master bedroom. Would not have rented unit had we known. We expect partial refund for value of product not delivered.Business Response: Were advised of construction on Feb 2nd, day after final payment via email. We phoned and asked to be moved which they refused. We asked for compensation which they refused on phone and again in person. Product advertised was not delivered. Their response is that they didnt know, which is not relevant. Even so, evidence indicates they must have known since the condo association scheduled these in advance and there are similar complaints posted on the internet from other customers from before January 2023.We further asked for compensation when we checked in, which they again refused. We wrote to Grand Strand at end of rental period and received no response.We expect a refund for the loss of use of the balcony. Its why we rented an oceanfront unit. Booked a condo with Grand Strand Resorts. Because of a water heater leak, the unit was without hot water from Wednesday night until the install on Friday. All members of 3 families could not shower nor bathe in the unit for that time. The fans and the noise that they produced was also an inconvenience as one bedroom was made cramped and smelly due to the rug having to be pulled up. It could not be used until night since fans and dehumidifier could not be turned off until then. A drainage hose extended to the tub and across the doorway was a hazard. Rental costs before fees and tax were $2699. The owner and GSR's failed to adequately compensate our inconvenience. And it is our hope you and the owners will put yourself in our position and think about what we had do endure and agree with me. Attached are pictures of a bedroom on the last 4 nights of the trip in one bedroom
