I gave Jocolby Keitt (owner and son) a chance after months of negotiations. July 5, 2024- $1000 deposit to Jocolby Keitt through Zelle for down payment to demolish building on my property at 1030 Decatur Street, Orangeburg, SC 29118 July 5, 2024-Jocolby Keitt text copy of Building Permits filed at Orangeburg County Office. Jocolby pleaded with me to give him a chance and "I promise you I will get the job done along with pictures of progress" I negotiated a down payment comfortable for him to start the process of getting permits and calling 811. This was more than a month ago and at that time he stated he was getting started a few days later. The only time I heard from Jocolby after is when I reached out about progress to hear by text only excuses after excuses. It's sad because it seems his father built a great business for Jocolby to handle hard working customers whom trusted him to get the job done with great dispare and dishonesty.Business response

I spoke Mr. ****** many times on this project. I told him the process on what it takes to get jobs like this done. I also informed Mr. ****** that 811, permits will have to be apart of this job due to South Carolina laws. I told him that I had other jobs i front of him and i would work him in. i sent him the contract since June 6 of 2024. I was waiting on him to get this on him end together. we finally started to get things together in July, i got permits and called 811. i cant do any work in South Carolina until 811 has cleared me to work, all this in my contract. He wanted me to change my contract for him. I told this is how it going to go or you will call some else from our phone conversation. I tried my best to work him in but we couldn't due to all the rain and storms we had in south Carolina. In my contract it tells everyone bad weather, death, stickiness can and will delay a job but days will be added. He agreed to the terms of the contract. We had five weeks of rain and than hurricane that came thru and hit. I informed him of that. The weather stopped me form finishing my other 2 jobs i had before him, i told him what happened. I am a FEMA contactor if a storm comes depending o the damaged my city or county will call. i told him i was helping assist in our storm and that time i had to stop all jobs. I was finally able to go back and work after everything was dry, a guy stopped by and said i need you to look at tis job for me cause I don't have the equipment to do the job, i looked and it was Mr. ****** he went and hired another guy to do the job. In my Contract it tell all customer, i will give them the start date to all projects. My other crew was going to start Mr. ****** project but we could caused he breech the contract and hired another company. He told me he had to go to court or something withe the county on his property, i told him i could have called Mr. Williams with Orangeburg county and have everything taken care of for him, he said no it wasn't no need for that, i do clean up work for a lot of customers in Orangeburg when i the county, gets involved, if it was so bad on him why he refused on me calling to help him out when i know who to contact and he wouldn't be fined cause they knew we had bad storming weather.
