I HAD A CONSULT WITH NATALIE M****. AT THE VISIT SHE STATED THE SHOE INSERTS WOULD BE COVERED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. WHEN SHE REALIZED THEY WERE NOT FULLY COVERED, SHE SHOULD HAVE CALLED TO TELL ME THAT. SHE DID NOT AND I RECEIVED A BILL FOR $406.42. I STOPPED BY THE OFFICE SEVERAL TIMES AND ASKED THAT SHE CALL ME, SHE HAS NOT AND REFUSES TO DEAL WITH THE SITUATION. I KEEP GETTING BILLED FOR THE ARCHES, EVEN THOUGH SHE NEVER STATED THE COST. I AM WILLING TO PAY $200 FOR THEM AND ASKED FOR A REVISED BILL. NOTHING BUT CRICKETS. I WAS ALSO TOLD I AM NOT THE ONLY CLIENT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO. VERY BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE TO DECEIVE CLIENTS!

Please see attached billing summary for ******* *******.

The orthotics were billed to his insurance and they applied the cost of the orthotics to his yearly deductible. As to the Pt not being notified of the balance in advance. We cannot bill orthotics to the insurance until they are dispensed to the PT, therefore Natalie had no way of knowing that your insurance was going to apply the full cost of the orthotics to your deductible until they processed the claim. Please contact me if you have any more questions or need anything else.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

As a client on a fixed income, this should have been explained. If it was, I wouldn't have proceeded with the process. $400+ for arch supports are ridiculous. I could have gotten them for $100 or less and been satisfied. I would appreciate a reduction in the bill. I am willing to pay $200 for them. If this is not acceptable, I will pay $20/month until paid. I think this practice certainly doesn't consider the patients, especially when it has been done to others.

      Sincerely,

      ******* *******
