I brought tires from KB Tires in May of 2021. I asked for 4 tires and an alignment. As I left I noticed the price to be lower than the quote I was given over the phone. I turned around, went back and inquired with Keith. He said that he forgot to add it but could do it of I was willing to wait. I sat and waited. I saw my car move, but never on the rack. Before leaving I he told me that there would be no charge because its was his mistake. Less than 5 months I notice that my tires were wearing. I went to Mercedes and they told me the car was out of alignment. Told them I had just bought a set of tires & had alignment done. Got back & make sure it was done & done properly. I called spoke with Keith. He told me too bring it by and once looking he replaced on tire. I asked him about the others & he said that he was not going to give me a free set of tires. I told him that they're not for, its what I paid for. Keith said that he would check the other tires once the car was on the air. Said he forgot. I feel that he looked and is trying to let the warranty wear out so that I would have a reason to purchase a new set of tires. I have purchased tires from him in the past and not had this issue before. I paid almost $900 for these tires & they don't last 5 months...really. I don't know what else to do, but what Im not going to do is spent another $871.84 over there.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/02/13) */ the first part of the complaint was true. She came in on 5/5/21 to purchase tires, alignment. I did forget to do the alignment, before leaving we pulled the car in to complete alignment. the car had 187.511 miles at the time of purchase. Our alignment warranty is 90 days or 6,000 miles. whichever comes first. She came back in on 1/07/22 with 204.004 on the odometer. she has put 16,000 miles on the car sense we done alignment. she has exceeded the warranty. She refuses to accept there is no warranty for bad tire wear from alignment problem. I have tried to reason with her but she will not be happy unless i replace the tires at no charge Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/02/14) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) January was not the 1st time that I came back to him, it was actually the last of September when I had my car serviced. The mechanic that I used saw the problem and advised me too call him, which I did from his shop. To not look bad in front of tuis gentleman who sends him a lot of business including me, he spoke with me and replaced a terrible tire in October. I was told by Keith that the other tires had some worn spots but not that bad. The tires were not even 5 months old when my first complaint went in. I checked the Mercedes dealer to see if my joints were wearing and they told me that the car was badly out of alignment. I don't drive on rough roads. Ive had my car aligned by them several times in the past and I don't understand why this time was so different, unless they didn't do the alignment or rushed through it because they were crowded. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/02/18) */ i am willing to prorate her tires for her, which means she will be responsible the wear she already has plus taxes and labor. i think it is in her best interest to take her car to the dealership for the alignment.
