I’m currently leasing a 2012 Chevy sonic from them. I gave them 500 down at 481 dollars per month 78 of. That is for the insurance on the car. I was issued a temporary tag wich is now expired and I never received my real tag! Shawn states first it went to the address in Charleston wich it did not. Then he tells me call the post office in Charleston to see if they have it. Now shawn claims I needed to take it up with the motor vehicle in Columbia. I went to 2 different motor vehicles also I did call the Columbia dmv and they all made it clear to me that the dealer never sent in the paperwork for the tags and taxes paid and that this vehicle is NOWHERE in their system! I again called Shawn back and he insist that he done his part and it’s on me to make it right. My bill is due the 13th of every month and I haven’t been able to even drive the car in weeks! The total of the car is 15,495 dollars, the motor already had to be replaced on the dealers pocket on account of my “limited” warranty but the motor they put in is no good either! It makes awful noises! I guess I got took for a ride but it don’t feel so reasonable to me!! If I give the car back my credit is shot if I pay for the car I still can’t drive it! Lose lose situation. I even suggested to give them the car back and they reimburse me for the tag and taxes at least that they failed to comply but Shawn stands firm on it’s on me to make it right even though the car is nowhere in my name as I am FINANCING the car . Attached is the only paperwork I received upon purchase in December of 2022

      Hello ********,

We sincerely regret to hear that you have had challenges in receiving your permanent tag from the SCDMV.  We have just checked to confirm that everything was properly processed on our end.  We have seen on occasion that the SCDMV does make mistakes during their processing.  If you have not received the permanent license plate from the SCDMV, we would recommend that you file for a "lost tag" at your local DMV office.  They can then provide you another permanent tag, we recommend confirming the mailing address that the SCDMV has on file for you is updated before completing this.  Please reach out to us with any other questions so that we can make any corrections for you.

      All the best,

      Management

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.

      Regards,
I went to the DMV to get a permit tag and they have no record of the car with the VIN I was given. I looked at the VIN number on the vehicle and it looks tampered with I’ve compared it to other cars and nothing looks the same.

      Hello sir,

We are sorry to hear that the DMV is not assisting you with the replacement license plate.  Regarding your VIN number, we recommend providing to the DMV the VIN number that is on the paperwork that provided to you by the dealership.  For reference, I have also attached information from the DMV system regarding the completion of your title and registration with the DMV.  You are welcome to provide them this information to have them expedite a solution for you.  Should the DMV refer you back to the dealership, please have them put into writing what exactly they would like us to complete on our end if needed.  Thank you.

      All the best,
