I would like to inform you that on (date) I gave my vehicle for repair at your service station with the *** XXXXXX and the issue with the vehicle was the inability to switch transmission gears.I received the vehicle back today (date) but the vehicle was extremely difficult to steer so the vehicle was left on the premises and key in the drop box. I was informed of a slight turning issue that would subside, possibly related to battery life, but found extreme difficulty turning the steering wheel and was unable to drive it off the premises. The vehicle is now harder to drive since before the repairs were made. This needs to be addressed as soon as possible. I will be requesting any major parts removed or replaced during the repair including but not limited to the faulty slave cylinder, clutch disk, and/or diaphragm spring.Business response

When the vehicle was fixed for the original issued caused by the vehicle owner my mechanic noticed the steering was a bit tight. He spoke with *********** and *********** said the steering has always been tight. There are no codes showing any issues with the power steering. The power steering is electrical and does not require fluid. Our repair was to remove and replace the clutch that was replaced by the owner (not a mechanic) in March and was incorrectly installed. The damage to the vehicle was severe. The clutch, clutch flywheel, shifter fork, and the clutch slave cylinder where all damaged. We replaced the clutch. We also welded the flywheel, welded the shifter fork, and replaced the clutch slave cylinder at no extra cost due to the fact his mother expressed concern that he would not be able to afford the expense. The customer picked the vehicle up at closing on 11/4/21 and the complaint was filed the next day day without any call that there was an issue. We offer a two year warranty on all new parts and labor. It is in our policy to check out any new issues. We were open less than three minutes the following when the BBB complaint was filed without giving us an opportunity to go through our protocols. My technician is looking into this issue.Customer response

**************** has repeatedly tried to do repairs on his own car and has caused catastrophic damage. We have fixed what we were hired to fix on Mr. ******* Mini ******. We offer a two year Warranty on all new parts and labor. The warranty is through a national company and is offered through other independently owned mechanic shops through out the nation including the city of Rock Hill. He can go to any other Technet location for this warranty. We will no longer be doing any business with *********************************** because of the liability he has caused my business with creating false claims and filing false complaints. The job he gave written approval for was to replace his clutch. His clutch has been replaced. The vehicle was driven several times by my head technician without issue. My head technician has only ever driven manual transmission vehicles and is an expert at driving such vehicles. The vehicle was properly repaired and working when it left my shop on 11/4/21 and on 11/5/21.
