Do not hire him! He is a serial scammer. He owes me a refund of $9,000 for landscaping work that was awful. He stated he would have the project done within two weeks. What occurred was he sent out someone (not coming himself) to attempt to install an irrigation system. The pipes for the irrigation could be seen, they were not buried but maybe one inch underground, if that. He told me we would get a 5-zone system, but he installed a 3-zone. They were on my property a total of three days within about 3 months and they accomplished to ruin the integrity of my back patio, and broke the water pipe in my yard, which splashed a ton of muddy water all over my vehicle (no they did not clean it up), and take out a large portion of my backyard grass. I have a dog so that was lovely having dirt as a backyard. The tools used were picked up by a rental company which said they had to take them due to a lack of payment they had received. After the hell he was putting us through and the false promises he made we demanded a refund. He said he would do so, but since then has been once again full of empty promises. He has opened and closed many businesses over the years and knows he can get away with it with no recourse. The Sheriff's hands are tied on what can be done. The law protects businesses more than the consumers. No lawyers would help me either. I beg you to do some research before hiring him. He has been arrested at least once. The previous businesses were "Shady Acres", and "Site Source Land Clearing Grading and Landscape," and currently has two new businesses; Cooper River Transport LLC and Palmetto Site Group. I have won my case against him in Magistrate Court but unfortunately was unable to receive any funds from the judgment because Jerome James Middleton has no personal property in his name. This is ongoing, and as of this week, I have filed an Affidavit and Petition for Supplementary Proceedings, we'll see if that goes anywhere.
