      In oct..2023 I had rickys pool to come out and give me a quote on a new pool liner we agreed on the price for parts and service to install it he saked for 1000.00 for part so he could purchase the liner. I wrote him a check for this amount he has not contacted me or showed up to do the work

      Partially completed work through July 2023, after installation of liner and receipt of $16,200 installment payment due upon liner installation, installer ceased all work. Did not deliver or install heater unit I paid separately for (see attached invoice to add it), pour concrete deck, install lights, deliver or install fence, deliver or install filter/timer/pump/vacuum/handrail/ladder/steps. Installer refuses to communicate or respond to requests or demands to complete work or provide equipment I paid for. Pool is falling apart and I will need to pay a different pool company ~$32k to remediate damages, purchase replacement equipment, and complete installation (and that's without fence I paid this installer for). Issue compounded by refusal to communicate as installer will not tell me where plumbing was installed underground, and the new company I had to hire does not know where plumbing is installed and will have to tear ground up to complete job, which is totally unnecessary. Am not waiving my right to file a lawsuit or file a complaint with the licensing agency by submitting this complaint through BBB.

      2/16/2023 Ricky’s Pools gave me a contract to install a 12’/24’ in ground pool at my home in simpsonville. He stated a $8950 deposit was required before any work Combe started. I paid him the deposit in full by 2/18/2023 March 24, 2023 I told him I decided not to go forward asked him to contact me no response. 3/27/2023 I reached out again and no response. 4/10/2023 I reached out asking when I will receive my deposit back because the contract states I get my deposit back if I decide not to go forward and no work was done on my property. He responded he’s not going to give me a refund because he ordered parts for the pool. I would like to have my deposit refunded because he did not do any work and now I’m out $8950. Please help me resolve this issue. The contract was also not signed by me. He texted me constantly until he received his deposit but when I tried to cancel the pool he didn’t respond and only when I asked for my money back did he respond saying he’s not going to return my deposit.

      Rickys Pool started digging my in-ground pool and spa December 2021. He has yet to finish the job. I have several recorded phone calls with him giving multiple excuses such as "i'm waiting on a part or i've been in the hospital or simply blaming other people for his lack of service. I have not been able to even sit in the spa because the job is incomplete. We spent over $50,000 for this project and it has yet to be completed. I would like a $10,000 refund for a spa that has ever been used. I no longer trust him to complete the job because I'm afraid he will cause further damage.

      He took a $12000 deposit a year ago and never completed the work. We contacted him continuously about start dates, issues with utilities locations and sewer line. When he did not show up within agreed upon timeframe we told him we had no faith in his completing project and requested refund as contract does not stated that is not refundable. He claimed it had been used for materials and that he would have to check his records. I asked he provide that amount and those invoices but he did not. I insisted that I didn’t see how I was responsible for materials bought for a project he didn’t start or complete but he did not give amount, invoice or any information. I have sent demand letters, sought legal counsel and am pursuing criminal actions next, as he is no longer replying and has ignored all contact from us since.
