Previously filed a complaint because this finance company called both my husband and I repeatedly about our daughter, Jacquelyn M******, missing an appointment with them. The calls stopped. As of yesterday, we have received 4 calls stating they need to speak with Jacquelyn M****** regarding a missed appointment. These calls have violated the Fair Debt Collection Act and we want them stopped immediately. Our next step will be contacting an attorney to sue for violating the Fair Debt Collection Act.Business response

Dear Ms. R*****,
We are responding on behalf of Hub City Finance DBA Kinsmith Finance to the above referenced complaint forwarded to us from the Better Business Bureau of Upstate SC on November 18th, 2022. Legacy Four Management Services, Inc. provides management, supervision, and auditing services to this South Carolina Supervised Lender Licensee. Our services include regulatory compliance, auditing, and administration.
The Complainant, Ms. ***** ********* is a personal reference (alternate contact) for a customer of the Licensee. Ms. *********** telephone contact information was provided by that customer, Jacqulyn Murdock. This incidence appears to be an extension from a previous event in April of this year. Ms. ***** *****, Supervisor for Kinsmith Finance, was notified of this issue on November 18th, and promptly began her investigation.
Ms. Yount found that after the previous request, Ms. *********** contact information had been removed from the account. However, during a subsequent transaction, the customer asked that Ms. ********* be added back as an alternative contact number stating, “she is the best way to get in touch with [her]”. This resulted in the referenced telephone calls being made to Ms. *********.
Ms. Yount has removed all contact information for Ms. ********* and her spouse from the referenced customer account and made permanent notations to prohibit the listing of Ms. or Mr. ********* from being listed as alternate contacts in the future. The Company has also had direct contact with Ms. Murdock regarding this issue and communicated that she can no longer list Mr. or Ms. ********* as an alternate contact.
The Company is extremely apologetic for any inconvenience that this confusion may have caused and believes that this resolves the desired outcome as stated by Ms. ********* in the referenced complaint. Please advise if there are any further concerns or requirements regarding this complaint.
