Lawn Doctor refuses to refund the money that is due to us. We have paid roughly 1627.00 to them before we let them go. They have destroyed our yard. When we sent the email to let them go, we had a credit balance of roughly 450.00 dollars on the books, paid with a bank visa card. The sod that they have destroyed was installed last year, April 2023, rough cost was 6,000.00, a local company in Charleston SC. Please help us. Below is a copy of the email that we sent: Debby H***** From:deh*****@bellsouth.net To:Lawn Doctor Fri, Apr 5 at 11:58 AM Crystal, Larry and I spoke and we have decided to go ahead with our decision. We appreciate all the service that we have receive up to this date 04/05/2024. No further service will be needed. We do not need 30 days to decide. Please tell the young man that was here we appreciate him coming over and telling us it was a fungus. Thanks again for all your service. Please go ahead and refund the monies to my visa. The amount of the check was 457.00 and it was noted on the check as a refund..Business response

Lawn Doctor has refunded customer $454.00 for services that she prepaid for. We didn't have one request for a Lawn Check up so we could go out and access the lawn. We had no idea customer wasn't happy until she canceled. Customer sent one email on 4/1/24 that I will attach to this complaint that states customer said "she always feel safe with us" but never said lawn was in trouble. 4/3/24 was the first time we heard that customer was unhappy with no real details in the email other than she thought we were understaffed. on 4/4/24 Lawn Doctor let customer know we would be out on Saturday 4/6/2024 to do her tree service. Customer sent in email 4/5/24 to cancel services. We sent a technician to customer's house within a couple hours and she still decided to cancel. Lawn Doctor will not refund services that were rendered that customer approved and receive the services. Listed below are the services that customer approved and received.

2/6/24 Early spring treatment and Soil Sample
3/12/24 Soil Sample Results came back with recommendations of Kmag, Gypsum, and Sulfur application that was again approved by customer.
3/18/24 Fungus treatment and Spring service approved by customer.

Bill sent to collections less than a week after providing payment link. Always have weeds. The techs never cover the entire yard. I have videos on ring cameras, please contact for copies, if you want to see what you are ACTUALLY paying for. Terrible customer service. You will get hung up on. Will not come back out. This is an individual franchise, good luck getting any support. Be warned. Not worth the money or headache.Business response

Issues were addressed with billing and application policies. We do not operate outside of these policies. We do not send to collections before 90 days past due. We cover all areas that we are charging for. We will always come back and redo services within legal state regulations. We do not end calls with customers prematurely. We would be more than happy to review any footage customer may have about this review.Customer response

I’ve always paid a year in advance, except for this one time.
