    My car was taken to Summerville ford almost 6 months ago and I was not given a loaner vehicle and was told I had to get a rental. I got in contact with ford customer care and explained my situation and was told if I found a ford to rent I will be reimbursed my money back. When I was going to rent I told Avery my representative that there were no fords up for rental in my area an that I didn’t have transportation to get anywhere to find a ford. I asked if I would be reimbursed if I got a different car an I was told to get the cheapest one a they will reimburse it. For months I was being told I was approved an they just needed my paper work from the rental company. Once I sent it I was told to just wait for the money to be sent. A few days ago I believe last Friday 12/8 I was sent an email saying I was denied the reimbursement money after being told I was already approved. I asked multiple times if I was covered an I was told yes multiple times and then on the 8th I was told I was denied which I explained was not fair to say that my vehicle has been with Summerville ford for almost 6 months for a reason that was not caused by my doing. I also expressed my concerns about why my vehicle seemed to have a new issue right before I am supposed to get it back and that is still continuing until this day. They recently gave me a loaner vehicle I have been using but I am still having to pay my car payments for a car I haven’t had for half of a year. There has been no compassion for my situation an how it is effecting me it’s almost as if I’ve been getting the run around. I expressed how uncomfortable I am about getting my car back after all of the extra things they are fixing because of a prior situation with Summerville ford. I do not agree with the end result of being denied the reimbursement I was told for months I was already getting. This situation has given me a lot of stress and problems.

    I recently brought my car to the Summerville, SC Ford service center to fix a serious recall issue, and I am extremely disappointed with the experience. First of all, I had been waiting for months to get this recall fixed, and no one called me to inform me that they had the parts in stock. This recall could have caused serious damage if not fixed, yet they did not call me when the part arrived. When I dropped the car off, they had the nerve to say I should have brought it in sooner. I ordered the recall part months ago and was told they would call when it arrived. My wife and I only own one personal car, and the Ford service center refused to loan us a car for the week they anticipated needing for the service. They claimed there was a waitlist for loaner vehicles. If Ford creates the issue requiring service and that service takes a week, they should provide a replacement vehicle. If they don't have any loaners, they should arrange a rental car. This situation is ridiculous! What is my wife supposed to do with our 3-year-old for a week without a car? Lastly, the excessive fees Ford charged for general maintenance were outrageous. They charged more for labor than for the parts themselves—$30 for an air filter and $40 for labor. It doesn't take two hours to pull out an air filter and stick a new one in. Overall, I am extremely displeased and unlikely to return to Ford for servicing. I prefer going to the dealership to ensure my car is handled well and service records are tracked properly for warranty purposes. Not providing us with a rental car for over a week for a recall issue that is their fault is outrageous! Then, to top it off, they charge exorbitant labor fees for quick and cheap parts. Not happy at all!
