Scam, very unseful. This company came over my house, sing me up for solar energy. They said I was not going to pay any bill to ******* power, I been paying the same bills I was paying before I got the panels installed!! They never give me any documents for they company, or any contract, neither who installed the panels, they don't answer the phone, panels have been installed for 8 Months now and they still not working. I am so frustrated. and I see am not the only one that have scammed to. I need help to get a refund, and get this panels removed out of my roof. This company qualified me, without me qualifying. I told the guy that I was retired, and he said let's check your score he saw I had a good credit score and that's why he qualified me. them told me that the federal government would give me the solar energy loan assistance, but they never told me that I had to qualify for this assistance. They came installed the panels and they didn't give me any directions, they didn't give me a step by step process after panels install. Now am stock paying the panels plus a high electrical bill. And no one has tried to contact me.

      HI BBB-

This email is in  response to the complaint filed by ** *********.  Its very clear from the terms of the sign contract, ""AFTER CUSTOMER IS INTSALLED, SALES TEAM WILL HAVE A 10KW GENERAC BATTERY INSTALLED! VES IS NOT RESPOSEONIBLE FOR THIS ADD ON VOLTAGE ENERGY IS"    After the solar system was installed, Tim Hudson of Voltage Energy quit  responding  to Mr. *********. I myself( R. David Burn)got involved per Mr ********* request to problem solve. Mr Tim Hudson stop responding to VES as well. In Good faith, VES provided a 12k dollar installed battery.  At the expense of VES, not Tim Hudson and Voltage Energy.  During the commissioning of the battery there were questions and answers.   I explained to Mr *********, the best way to commission battery was for storage NOT back up. He took a few days and discussed the storage  set up with his wife per Mr. *********. Per Mr. ********* he and his wide agreed to setting up the solar battery for storage NOT back up. The battery was commissioned for storage per our agreement.  A some point me and Mr ********* and I spoke and he stated he was happy with the performance of the solar system and battery storage. Then shortly after, I received a phone call about his power going off and not  backing up the house. He stated he spoke with other solar companies which told Mr ********* to set the battery up with storage and back up. I explained to him the advantages  and disadvantages of doing that way. He took a few days to think about it, then requested the battery to be recommissioned. At that point, I told him for us to come back out, will need to cover our basic operating cost, it will be a additional $750.00. How Mr ********* quickly forgot , the 12K battery VES honored even though in writing it was to be provided by a 3rd party, which VES took a significant loss on his battery. In addition our workmanship warranty is for 1 year and no point would VES and Mr ********* have a 20 year relationship. The Manufacture warranty's go up to 25 years for the solar panels and micro invertors. The battery is a 10 year warranty.  There are many solar companies that can perform warranty work. VES has fulfilled the solar agreement and has went over and beyond to provide exceptional customer service and even honoring Tim Hudson and Voltage Energy  written promise, which under our agreement VES was not obligated to do.

      Best Regards

      Business response

      03/16/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/03/10) */ First and foremost we work very hard and care about our customers. Enclosed in this email are several documents. #1. Production report from Enphase. #2. Copies of 2 of their power bills, provided by the homeowner. #3. Service log notes. We have had several conversations with the ****'s. Explaining the battery and solar system is functioning as designed. The solar system produces 95 to 98% of the solar production during the hours of 11am to 430 pm every day. The excess energy then goes into the battery. Then the energy is released into the house at night. Depending on the usage the battery may last thru the night or it may run out. Again it depends how much energy is being used by the homeowner. Their system based on the Enphase monitoring system is working as designed. It's important to remember that solar production is based on the seasons of the year. Spring, Summer and Fall being the highest production months and the winter being the lowest production months. Oftentimes the cold winter (sun is lower in the sky)creates unfavorable solar conditions. I would like to discuss one of the bills that was provided. (Which is the only complete bill we have.) Jan01 the 02 2022 It shows the **** being charged for 1514 KWS with a 343 kw credit. What's not showing is the solar production going into the house 1st which for the month of Jan was 690 kws. Mr ****'s total consumption was 2204, for the month of Jan. Since his system is working the Vets were only charged for 1171 kws, about half of the actual bill. I spoke with Enphase to confirm this information. The Enphase rep recommended that the Vst call in to Enphase and they will be more than happy to discuss further. enphase support X XXX XXX XXXX. Here at VES we will be glad to offer any further customer support. Any further questions please let me know, Regards, R.
