I was charged approximately 400 dollars for an extended service call and $45 for the service call. I had agreed to that amount. The service technician performed his review and came downstairs and told me the total charge would be $994. There was no problem with the plumbing. He stated that he could see the outline of the bathtub in the garage. He had fixed the issue by replacing the old caulk. I trusted what he said was true and paid him. The next morning, I saw that my shower…not the bathtub had been caulked near the floor on 3 sides. Three strips of caulk. He had not caulked around the bathtub and had not even caulked all 4 sides of shower floor. On Thursday afternoon, I reviewed the details of the bill. The bill stated $650 for caulking the bathtub. He didn’t caulk the bathtub, which he had stated was the problem. The caulking was a quick strip on the bottom of the shower near the shower floor and he charged $650 for ten minutes of caulking work in the shower which hadn’t been the stated problem. I believe he didn’t think I would examine my bill or his completed work and charged me for what he wanted to be paid for his time working on this. The name of the company is “Ethical Plumbing”, the $650 additional cost was not approved by me. It was a charge that wasn’t approved by me. I would not have approved the caulking of the floor when the bathrub was the stated issue. I certainly would not have approved $650 for 3 strips of caulk. They do not have ethical pricing for their customers.Business response

We have already refunded the customer for the system error of the caulking charge on the invoice discussed. We have tried to contact her and she will not answer/return our numerous calls or messages.
