Our office rec'd a fax stating "It is my pleasure to inform you that you are being considered for inclusion into the 2024 Women of Distinction "Honors Edition". It goes on to offer vague prestige w/ typos: "Recognition of this kind is an honor and shared by thousands of executives and professionals..." "The 2024 Women of Distinction "Honors Edition". Can be found in the collections of many of the most prestigious libraries..." "This recognition is a tribute to a lifetime of achievement, reserved for only those who fit specific criteria to be classified as having "Expert" status in their field. It doesn't say HOW the consideration came to be or what classifies an "expert". No website, phone number, email or physical address is provided, only a return fax #. The only website provided (which seems shady) is to unsubscribe: ******************** (typo). Unfortunately, under the excitement of the supposed nomination these tells were missed. The form was filled out & faxed back. Since then we've received consistent calls from Julie G****** who insists on speaking directly to the person nominated and ONLY speaking with her. I've asked for a website and additional information re: the "encyclopedia size book" but am told it's against policy to share any information other than w/ the nominee. At this point, Julie, who's been "doing this job for 24 years" is getting upset and calling me rude because I won't allow her to speak to the nominee without additional information. She claims we're now past the deadline to submit but won't say what the deadline was. When I told her that the nominee is no longer interested, Julie claims that that is "unheard of" and says she cannot cancel anything until she speaks on the phone directly with her. I found a website: *********************************************************  in which the info is vague and consists mainly of pictures of nominees holding their plaques. No indication how this register is utilized. Not a credible business.
