We had a list of repairs from an inspection report obtained when we purchased our house on 5/12/23. Billy W**** was recommended to us by our realtor. We contacted him about the repairs and he came to our house. He submitted an estimate in the amount of $2944.15 and demanded a deposit of 50% ($1472.08) for the repairs. Estimate is attached to this dispute. I paid this deposit amount to him with a credit card through Paypal on 5/31/23. Paypal receipt is attached to this dispute. Credit card is issued with ******** and I have opened a dispute (**************) for this claim. On at least 3 separate occasions starting on or about 6/14/23, he stated that he, or someone in his crew, would come by our house to start the repairs. To date. no one has ever shown up and we never received any phone calls. When I would call later inquiring about it, it was always some excuse as to why no one ever came out. On 7/24/23, I sent an email to his email address stating that I no longer wished to use him, or his company, to do the repairs on our house and that I would like a refund of the deposit amount ($1472.08) that I paid previously to be refunded to the credit card. I've also left a voice mail on his cell phone stating the same. To date (7/28/23), I've received no response from him.
