Mr. Cook installed a wood fence for me at my home in December 2020. In February 2022, I noticed the fence significantly leaning over. Some of the boards were warping and several had never been nailed in (not apparent until they started warping). Both gates were crooked and I couldn't even open one of them. I contacted Mr. Cook on Feb ** 2022 asking if he would have time in the next few days to look at the fence. I even said it was leaning in one area and I wasn't sure how to remedy it. He replied immediately and said he would come by. This became a recurring theme of him saying he would be over, then not showing up. He did eventually come by once on April ** 2022 and we walked the perimeter. He said he would absolutely fix it. I haven't seen him again since, and he barely responds to my messages anymore. The last one he sent, on August ** 2022 is "Yes ma'am I'll be over there this week to reset the posts on that side I can rebuild the gate but I can't guarantee that it won't warp in a year or two without a metal frame most of them don't but as you can see they can. I've only had one other gate besides your to do this in 7 years." Direct quote. He never even originally mentioned anything about needing a metal frame for the gates. I haven't seen or heard from him since and it's now September ** 2022. I don't trust him to correctly repair my fence2 after the way I've been treated the past 7 months. I want him to refund the entire cost of the fence. I have had two other companies come out to do estimates on repairing the fence and will, most likely, need to have at least half of it torn down and replaced at this point. I realize it was built over a year ago, but I also know a fence is supposed to last a heck of a lot longer than that before it starts falling apart.
