Took my car to have a battery installed, the mechanic decided to clean corrosion up and let the water run constantly he laid the water hose down in the hood, he were told by one of the other mechanic that he needed to plug the charger in to the computer because if the battery stayed unplugged to long that it would cause a problem, he installed the battery which wasn't the correct battery on the way home my car started giving code readings took the car back he said that it was giving a transmission code he said for us to take it to the transmission place we took it to them they told us it was a wiring problem we took it back to him he tried to reset it but couldn't he than told us to take it to the dealership we took the car to the dealer explain to him what happened and they kept the car overnight called the next morning and said that the harness wires to the transmission had been wet and we're damaged, they charged ****************************************** that it would cost ******* to have it fixed, we contacted Blacks he said that we couldn't prove it was his faultBusiness response

This response was provided verbally to BBB.
Business is requesting from the consumer to show him paperwork proving business caused the damage to the vehicle. Documentation needs to come from the ****** Dealership. Also, the business is offering to give the consumer the money back for the battery she purchased, but the consumer will need to purchase the battery from somewhere else and have them installed.
