I shipped a Vintage *************** 1947 engine valued at $****** to Carl's Cycle Supply on 09/17/2020 to be rebuilt. I expected that process to take approx. 1 1/2 years. A $**** deposit on 09/30/2020 and $**** on 11/12/2020 was paid by check. With the shipment, spare parts valued at $**** were included. Two boxes also shipped containing two cylinder heads valued at $****. Also, one front, one rear, 1947 original ****** cylinders were located in ************ and shipped directly to Carl's Cycle Supply valued at approximately $**** for a total of $**** in spare parts. Upon completion I was billed and paid $******* by check for a total of $********* for new parts and labor. I received the engine back on 03/29/2022. Carl would not ship the spare parts back with the engine crate as per my request. Carl wanted all my spare parts because they are rare and hard to find. On numerous occasions he tried to buy them for cheap but I declined. He claims a deal was made but I never agreed to anything. I made it very clear I wanted all my parts back. He purposely tried to run the bill up so I couldn't afford it and I would be forced to surrender my parts. He said " I'LL CHARGE YOU WHAT EVER I WANT" . . I'LL HOLD YOUR PARTS HOSTAGE". His strategy did't work, I paid the bill in full, so he just stole my parts, he won't return them and he told me "Never call him again". One part, an oil pump, was taken and put on another motorcycle without my permission. I asked for it back and Carl said " Oh, ahh, well, and, ahh, my son took that part and it wasn't mine yet". I worked out a deal with Matt. We traded some parts. Parts that were stolen or swapped out: Cam cover, fuel strainer, distributor and cover,74B carb, m35 carb, rockerbox, cylinder head, rear cylinder, carb parts, oil pump, PEEK seals, lifter blocks, oil cup lines, and more parts etc. Two Felony acts of theft were committed. Theft by Deception and Grand Larceny. The FBI is being notified because it's across state lines.
