We called the contractor in October to come out to quote us on replacing three windows. He came out measured and said he would send us a quote, but he would not do any work until Spring, so after the quote he sent we called in March to have him order our windows. He wanted to come out and remeasure and give us a new quote. So he did just that. We waited 3 months to get our windows because manufacturing was taking longer due to the pandemic. Our windows come in and it was hard to get a time scheduled for him to install them. He just wanted to show up whenever. We got that sorted and settled on a day. The day comes, he was late, he complained of the heat. He worked maybe three/four hours a day for three days. He went to put the screens in the windows and they were the wrong size, said he would reorder them. The windows were in, being a small town we figured it would be fine and we would get the screens soon, this was in June 2021. Well he charged us $800 more than our quote because he said he only planned on being at our house for two days and he was here for three even though he set his schedule and because the cost in wood trim had gone up, neither of those are our fault. I told him that and he said his quote was good for 30 days we didn't complain because the price of everything has raised. Well here lies the problem it is now November , he has been out to our house five times to remeasure our windows for screens and we still have not received any screens. The first four times they were supposedly the wrong size off by 1/4 of inch or so. He tried to make us feel better in saying he donated our too small screens to help someone who's screens didn't fit either. That didn't help our situation. So not only were we way over charged he still has not put in any screens to the two biggest windows. I have emailed him and he says the company that makes them have either lost the measurements, need more time because production is slow, or they have not sent them. This is becoming ridiculous and he literally has no answers, but I'll measure again.
