I got the card as my first time trying to establish credit I haven't had much of an issue with the services I've never been placed on hold when I've had to call in they helped me when my card was stolen the Interest rate is high but if you can manage well its not a bad first card my only complaint is that if you miss a payment by a day you do get better 5 to 15 calls a day from them I'd understand 1 or 2 as a reminder but some calls were 10 minutes from eachother over all if your smart with you money it's a good bank1st Financial Bank USA Response

I agree with the majority of the people who have written reviews. Absolutely awful. Horrible interest rate. Stay far away from it. They are a bunch of crooks. Worst card I have ever had. DO NOT GET THIS CARD! They refuse to lower their greedy rates too. Terrible!1st Financial Bank USA Response

I was set up on payment plan but I was to contact them and set up another 12 months. It is my fault that I did not set up the next 12 months. With that being said they call me constantly while working and when I try to log in website I get OOOPS you must call. I do not want to call, all I want is for them to contact me through email. I’ve had a card with them since 2007. Started to build credit when I was younger but I no longer use the card and now they have a mandatory annual fee. I was told the only way they could refund me the annual fee this Oct was if I got rid of my account. So, I deactivated my account, but received no refund and 1 month later, I see they’ve actually charged my checking account again for over an amount over $100. Poor service, poor follow-up, poor care for their trusted long term customers. It all feels like a trap. This has been very frustrating and stressful as a customer.1st Financial Bank USA Response

Extremely predatory interest rates. They confirmed that even after my 6 year history as a customer that has never made a late payment, that they will never be able to offer an interest rate less than 32.9% - this is over DOUBLE the average interest rate for credit cards in 2022. They give credit cards to everyone who applies because they know they will make money off of them eventually. This card has an annual fee, no rewards, cannot offer lower interest rates, and does not care about customer loyalty. Also, the website is not compatible with Chrome, but even in Edge it is not a very user friendly site. Their update they made earlier this month did improve how the site looks, but navigating it is as hard as it has always been and some of the pages simply just do not load, likely due to a lack of investment in their online infrastructure. Save yourself the nightmare and sign up for any other credit card that exists other than this one.1st Financial Bank USA Response

A lot of comments are mad at 1FBUSA for charging an annual fee. They extended credit to you when no one else would, which is why you signed up for their card in the first place. Either pay the annual fee, or cancel the card and take the small hit to your average account age. Stop complaining online that you have to pay the annual fee because you cant cancel the card- that is a false statement. Its true their card doesnt offer cash back. But they helped you build your credit when no one else would! Now you qualify for cash back cards, because this bank helped you build credit.1st Financial Bank USA Response
