On 12/28/21 I started communicating with Donte ******* about a ******** I was interested in. He informed me that they didn't have any on the lot, but they had some due in by the end of the January. I explained to him that I had to turn in my lease, and I would absolutely need by the end of January. I asked him to send me the window sticker for the vehicle arriving in January. We discussed specifics and over the next couple of days I decided to make a deposit on the vehicle arriving in January on 12/30/21. Never was there a discussion verbally or in writing that this deposit was nonrefundable. I have all texts and emails regarding this matter. On 1//12/22 Donte texted me that the delivery would be delayed until 2/9/22. I decided to hang tight and decided to get a rental car in the meantime to get by. I asked about starting financing he said they wait until two weeks prior to arrival. On 1/27/22 I reached out to get an update as we were close to the two-week period. He indicated they have received the invoice and it would arrive in 10-12 days. This was close to the 2/9/22 date he gave me in January. He indicated he would have an exact date by Monday 1/31/22. He never got back to me until 2/7/22 and never gave an exact date as he said he would. On 2/7/22 he said it would be any day. I again ask about starting financing and he is still putting it off. They knew all along. He said they would now wait until the vehicle arrives. Then on 2/14/22 I get a message that unfortunately it hasn't arrived. He indicated he was going to talk to his manager I finally pressured them on 2/16/22 that I needed an exact date as I was having to turn my rental car in. They indicated they thought Monday the 28th but they didn't know. I informed him 2/17/22 that I had to go another route and asked for my refund back. They then inform me it wasn't refundable. I'm guessing this is their practice. Never was that discussed, and I have all documentation of communication. I would like a refund.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/03) */ We believe this case has already been resolved to the customer's satisfaction. Although the shipping Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) is an estimate and out of our control, we decided to make a one-time exception for this customer and refund his $*** deposit on 2/18/2022, the same day the customer filed the BBB case. It seems this might be a matter of timing between when the case was filed and when the refund was issued. Please let me know if any further action is needed. When I was told they would not issue the credit, I informed them the steps I would be taking to resolve this issue. It appeared there would not be a credit issued. After I filed the complaint, I received a text message from Donte that they were issuing me a credit on my deposit.
