            We dropped off some old water cameras that we found while cleaning out our house. Nothing was explained to us about the fees. The last time we developed film we were charged for the prints that turned out. Well not in this case. We were charged $70 for the 4 disposable cameras. When we got home and looked at the photos, we were charged for one camera $13 and got not a single photo. They charged us a developing fee for nothing. The rest were blackened, horrible images you could not really see. I called at talked to Davis and he acted surprised we were upset about paying $70 for actually nothing. He said it was expensive to develop the photos. I asked why the fees were not explained when we dropped off the cameras and he had no explanation other than no one ever gets upset and no they don't explain the fees. WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN AND TELLING EVERYONE I KNOW!

            Hello Kari, Thank you for letting me know about your recent disappointing experience at Harold's. You are right, it is proper to let customers know an order estimate, and maybe a bit about the process to produce the orders. Harold's is invested in producing the best quality images for all of our customers. As a general overview, film processing requires properly working processors, printers, chemistry, and people. In light of this investment, we do have a minimum charge for film processing. Additionally, the quality of images is determined not only by the situation/condition the photos were taken, but also by how the film has been stored. It is possible that old film can produce dark or muddy looking images. We produced the best quality prints possible from the film we were given. I apologize that this information was not shared with you when you placed your order. Had the above information been provided, we may have avoided this conflict.
