We purchased a car 12/2023. It is March 2024 and we still have not received our title/registration. Our first attempt to reach out to them someone called us, our phone only rang one time, and they left a “VM” which didn't say anything. We reached back out and said we called back but have not heard back. Another guy called and LVM stating they were still waiting on the previous owners to send it in. This was in February. We received an “extension tag” that was dated April 2024. We called again to check the status and spoke with a woman. She stated there was a lien on the car and they were waiting on that. So a different story than the man stated. That was also in February. It is now March and still no sign. We called the first guy who called us, LVM & he has not returned the call at all. On top of all of that, this car has been looked at by multiple mechanics telling us it is unsafe. It feels as though they are holding us hostage inside this car and we can’t even get into a safe one

We purchase the vehicle at Manheim auction in August of 2023. The auction failed to deliver a clear title upon sale. We did not realized this until after the ***** sale, we contact Manheim and received a clear title and registered the customer's vehicle. See attached.

We are sorry for the customer's inconvenience.  Since the complaint, we performed a full checkup to ensure the vehicle is safe and purchase new tires for the vehicle and for customer goodwill.

      Thanks.

I signed for a vehicle that lasted 1 week. The vehicle is still under manufacturers warrant, but I don’t want to start off with a problem. That’s the whole reason for finding a different vehicle. My father used to trade vehicles with Jerry hodge who owns the dealership. Surely he could have some sympathy with respect to the fact that I need reliable transportation.

The customer purchased a 2018 Kia Forte from Twin City Buick GMC on Feb 27, 2024. Sometime within the next several days the car lost all the engine oil. The exact cause of this is unclear. However, we are in the process of fixing the vehicle at no cost to the customer. We have also supplied the customer with a vehicle to drive during this time. We have made it clear to the customer that after the 2018 Kia Forte has been repaired we will be happy to talk to them about trading it in on a different vehicle.

I traded my car on 8-13-2021 I received a truck that I was told was going be detailed and fixed. The truck need the fron driver handle fixed which they did and was told the passenger side as well which was not . The had me bring the truck in for detailing which looked like they hurried and whipped down the interior and was missing the leveling kit that was original on the truck. Which I let that slide because I was out of a car for 2 days and couldn't go any longer. Second of all I was told that they were giving me 17,500 for my trade in which shortly after signing I noticed it changed to 16,800 when they went to pay the car off they didn't send a check with 16800 or the 17500 they sent it for 16688 I tried calling multiple times they keep hanging up on me . Also when they sent for my truck they didn't tell me there was a problem with the paper work so I had to call the new lender and get them to tell what to do.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/13) */ This is the first I have heard about complaints. It sounds like we did what we promissed to do but not to his liking. Spoke to the salesman and he never received a call from him regarding these issues? We would be happy to address any issues he still may have. We just need to hear from him. Not sure who he called or spoke to, but it was not Auto Center. As far as his trade value, the trade value wa $17,500 and that is the value on all of his contracts. Not sure were he was seing the $16,800 ? My guess os we showed his payoff as $16,800 even though it was a lower amount (according to custemer) any overage paid by dealer gets refunded to customer from the bank his payoff was with, in about 6-8 weeks. He will receive a check directly from him for the difference. Again not sure who he spoke with? He didn't speak to his salesman, nor my managers. We would be happy to address any more concerns he may have. Thank you Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/10/14) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I've spoke with who is the one that signed off on all the paper work I have the emails to prove it . I've tried to call multiple times left multiple email and was hung up on twice yesterday. I spoke with the bank and they said the amount of the check that was wrote was not the 16800 or the 17500 . I didn't receive the amount I was told I would for my car I am not the only one that this issue has happened to and I am happy to list the names of them with contact numbers . I want what was promised to me the pay off for my car was 16528.25 at the time of trade . The check that was wrote to the bank was org sent in the amount of 1538.17 per bank . Spoke with he stated once you all received the title you would give me the remaining but my car was already sold on the lot? So how can you sale a car without the title I have picture proof and emails and call history to follow my statement. I want what I was promised for my car which is the 17,500 which after what was sent to the bank should had been 971 and some change not the 38.38 Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2021/10/15) */ Good morning. Customer received $17,500 for his trade in, and we paid off the balance owed of $16,525.96 So the customer had $973.04 of equity that goes as down payment on his new purchase. If the customers payoff was less than what we paid off, then he will receive a refund from the bank he had the loan with for the difference. We trade for vehicles on a daily basis with customers owing on there vehicle. We have all copies of paperwork customer signed and would be happy to give him copies of them, or sit down and go over with him. As far as selling a customers trade in, or selling a vehicle that we bought at the auction. We have 30 days to supply title and registration to a customer after we sell them a vehicle. Non the less, we would be happy to sit down and go over the entire deal with customer. I have attached a copy of the buyers order that the customer and us have signed. Consumer Response /* (4200, 12, 2021/10/15) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I have the copy of the documents. The amount agreed on that you were sending to the lender was 16,800 correct?
