I went into the store to purchase some items and no cashier was at the register so I tried to find one. My roommate at the time was employed there but worked in the beer department and wasn’t a cashier. I found the cashier and he immediately started yelling at me asking who are you. The supervisor on duty did absolutely nothing instead the cashier ******* told me I need to stay in my place where I belong and the supervisor then took me and my roommate aside and began to tell me that because my roommate worked in that establishment I’m not a customer. He then began to talk down on me. I then told him forget that he’s my roommate as a women how would you feel if you were told to stay in your place? He then refused to answer my question and said you’re raising your voice you need to leave. I left having an anxiety attack and called the police. I never felt so degraded in my life. Then the next day my roommate was fired and the cashier ******* and supervisor on duty ** were able to keep their jobs. My mom and I went to talk to the GM ****** who then told us I have several witness statements and I’m not speaking about it anymore. My mom just wanted to make a complaint with the store and she kept repeated to him that it wasn’t about the incident it was a complaint about the store and he looked down on us both and in front of my 7 year old son raising his voice and asked us to leave. We both felt degraded and disrespected. All we are asking for is an apology and they refuse to admit what they did.
