My dental appt was November 29, 2021. When I arrived, Terri wasn't sure that **** would be covering all of the services they were going to perform since I only have basic coverage. I offered to call **** and offered to leave. Terri told me to stay and that she knew, having 30 years of dealing with insurance, that I was covered and all would be covered; so I should stay for my appt. I received a bill in January. I called the office and explained that she told me to stay and not call ****; so I do not believe I should have to pay for the procedure that wasn't covered. I called **** and found out that one of the x-rays is only covered every 3 years and they told me what they do cover. I called Terri and explained such. Suggested, if the x-ray falls into what they cover to resubmit. She said that would be fraud since it's two different x-rays. Told her that I wasn't paying the bill since she told me that I was covered and that I didn't need to call and confirm before my appt. She told me that they have dismissed me as a patient and sent another bill for $48 which is due February 25. I still believe that since she, Terri, told me not to call ****, I deferred to her based on her knowledge, that I wouldn't have to pay anything, I stayed for my appt and would not be billed for any services. I do not believe I should have to pay the $48.Business response
