I hired Apex to move our belongings from Nashville to Miami Beach and paid $68.86 for an additional stop in Miami at my husband's office for 10/8 (the total final cost of the move was $11,391.87). The building for the additional stop required a COI. I first requested the COI from Apex on 9/15. I requested the COI again on 9/24 and again on 10/1. I was finally told on 10/1 by Apex they needed the building's COI requirements to produce a COI, so the building shared their exact requirements with Apex on 10/1. Apex sent an incomplete COI on 10/4. The building informed me on 10/8, the day of delivery that the COI was insufficient, despite informing Apex of exact requirements needed. Apex blamed the building for the problem. We were told multiple times on 10/8 that the correct COI had been sent, but the building showed me Apex kept resending the same insufficient COI. We were finally told after the delivery window that Apex's insurance company couldn't get a correct COI in time. As a result, the building management refused to allow the movers to enter the building. My husband, who has a shoulder injury, and I had to assume the liability and risk to move a mini fridge and heavy sectional sofa by ourselves. I requested a refund for the additional stop on 10/11 and did not receive a response. I sent a follow up message on 12/17 regarding the refund and still have not received a response. I want a refund for breach of contract and failure to provide services I paid for regarding the additional stop.Business response
