On November 6,2023 I purchased a vehicle from Freeland Chevrolet (CDJR) and was checking back every week to see if my tags for my vehicle had come in. I found out by running the *** for my car that the vehicle was still in the previous owner's name and their financial institution still had a lien on the car meaning that the dealership sold me car without having the title for it. Now the dealership will not let me return the vehicle even though they sold the vehicle to me without having ownership of the title.

This guest was held up by a previous lien holder release.  We received the lien release on Friday Feb 23, 2024.  A duplicate title has been requested and will be in the dealership on Wednesday Feb 28, 2024.  This will allow Freeland CDJR to process the necessary paperwork for ownership into the guest's name. (this complaint was filed under Freeland Chevrolet but the transaction occurred at Freeland CDJR....can this be corrected)

I have 3 disputes with this dealership, and the biggest part of all 3, is the dealership ignoring me. I bought a car *********************************************************** for a ceramic coating that was never done. The sales person said when I was buying the car that if it wasn't done(she couldn't check till the next day), then she would have the dealership cut me a check. The next day that person found out it wasn't done and said I would get reimbursed $650(that was their cost, not mine). But I haven't scene it or heard anything yet and it's been over a month. The second is it took this dealership so long to pay my trade-in off I was forced to make a payment on it. I was told, by the finance person at the dealership, if this happened then the dealership will overpay and I would get money back from the finance place (****).... They said they received the exact pay-off amount. No one at the dealership is responding to this situation. My third is that I was given an extremely high interest rate, which didn't bother me because I was already pre-approved by TVFCU for a much lower rate. Freeland seems to have lost( I don't know because the title person will not call me back) the registration information, which is needed to refinance the new car. My pre-appoval rate, which was good for 30 days has expired and the interest rate is now much higher.....I will pay more interest because of their laziness! And they will not respond!

On 10/6/2022 I went into the dealership to purchase a vehicle. I came in with a check. I advised the sales rep ***** ******* on multiple occasions before I got to the dealership and while I was there that I DID NOT need financing through them. I already had financed through my credit union. ***** asked for my SSN saying he needed to verify my identification. When he took my social he used my social security number and ran an inquiry on my credit without my authorization. I contacted a sales manager on 10/7/2022 and he was unwilling to assist and told me no he would not give me the general manager's name.

I was in an accident on August 24,2020. I took my car to Freeland Chevrolet. One of the services was the installation of a radiator. On May 14, 2022 I took my car into be serviced. On May 16, 2022 I was told I needed a new radiator.I brought up the warranty. I was told by the auto tech that because I had been in a accident since the repair my warranty was void. I have not been in a new accident. I supplied them with time stamped pics from my August 24th accident. There has been no new accident. They are no longer responding. Attached below are pics from the August 24th accident. The marks on the car are from my August 24th accident. They are refusing to honor the warranty. Also attached are pics from my conversation with Freeland. The circled part is where he states my warranty is void because of an accident that has not taken place.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/25) */ I have personally reached out to Mrs. ***** and would like to speak to her about her concerns and repair. Upon reviewing her pictures and physically inspecting her car. I have attached a picture of where the car has been impacted in the lower front passenger ***** fascia causing the lower radiator and cooling leak. This damage along with the State of Tn issuing a Salvage Title after our repairs in August of 2020 is why GM is denying the Parts warranty. I have attached a copy of the ****** indicating the Salvage/Rebuilt title noting in 11/06/20 title # XXXXXXXXXXX. However I would like to come to a resolution on labor to help in completing this repair and retaining a loyal consumer. My direct line is XXX-XXX-XXXX. **** ***** - General Mgr. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/05/25) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The salvage Title was issued in response to the August 24, 2020 accident. My car was immediately taken to ******** Chevrolet after the accident for auto repair. My insurance payed me out for the car and allowed me to buy it back and with proper paperwork submitted the State of Tennessee gave me a salvage title. There has not been an additional accident since August 24, 2020 as ******** can see in my ****** report. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/05/26) */ I have left you 2 voice mails on the number in your consumer info in your BBB complaint. I would like to speak with you direct about your claim and concern. In most cases a resolution and derive with communication. My direct line is XXX-XXX-XXXX and I'm available every day thru Saturday. Thank you for the explanation on the issuance of the Rebuilt title after your repairs. The current damage on the passenger ***** fascia is what has caused the radiator damage. I have attached a picture for your reference. This damage is why GM has denied the Parts Warranty claim. I look forward to hearing from you soon. At this junction with no direct communication the warranty on the radiator is not covered due to the damage to the front of the car.

I went to ******** chevy on 04/07/22. I was looking at the 22 chevy ****** and i had a trade in it was a 2014 chevy ******. Well at first they told me that I wasn't approved because of income so they asked if i had anyone that would cosign with me and my grandma did. So I drove off the lot in a 22 ******. Well long story short they didn't communicate with me like they should have and they should have told me to bring the new car back a long time ago because the bank they financed it through did not accept the loan and I had to find this out on my own due to me calling them for me not reciving a payment book and they told me they said did ******** not call you and i said no because they havent. So i called them that day and said that the loan didn't go through that i had just talked to the bank that was listed on my contract that i had signed and got told that he would send them an amil the next day about my grandmas income because they where supposedly having a hard time verifying even though we sent all the correct paperwork to them and it listed her income. So then it comes to my trade in I just called and told them I don't want to sign anymore contracts that i will brong there car back, but i want my trade in that they sold and didn't pay it off. So i contacted ****** where my ****** is financed and they told me they havent recived a payoff and i havent had that car in almost a month and they sold it weeks ago. I told them tyou can bring my car back or pay it off and then they can have there new car back, but they areb't wanting to do so they keep on trying to make me take a deal and i do not want to since they are bad buisness and i'm not the one that is at fault. If the car wasn't financed they shouldn't have let me rove off the lot and they shouldn't have been able to sale my trade in because it isn't paid off and they dont have the title and I also have proof on my phone that they sold it. I just want my trade in paid off since they sold it and proof.
