      I brought my 2016 Chevy Malibu in to the freeland dealership today 4/3/2024 due to my check engine light coming on and a reduce speed that has occurred before on my dash.Matthew G*********** was the service advisor who assisted car..Matthew G****** advised they would have to run a diagnostic test which is a waste of money because it never comes back right and i always end up back with other issues that should have been caught at the last service . I get a call from Matthew G****** stating i need a new engine my water pump is leaking the front axles is leaking all of this for a engine light and a sensor . Matthew stated i didn't have any oil in my vehicle which was a complete lie i have my chevy app that showed me 15% of oil life .When i start asking questions Matthew could not answer any of my questions and concerns. All Matthew could suggest is for me to either trade the my car for a new one or pay the 11,366.37 he quoted me .My car never leaked any fluids while in my possession so i decided to just come back up to the dealership and speak with Matthew in person because nothing was making sense. Matthew lied and told me that the dealership stop giving loner car's back in 2020 due to covid. Which was yet another lie i have had two loner cars back in October and November and i kept the invoice for both times for my records .I told Matthew put my car back together because Ill be to the dealership shortly.When i arrived back to the dealership they pulled my car out after i went in and paid for the pointless diagnostic. I came out and popped the hood before leaving because you can't trust these people of my Chevy Malibu and discovered a very sloppy job the tech left the cover off that could have fell into my engine and caused a issue . A service advisor approached me asking was everything okay. I told her no look at how sloppy of a job the tech did . My car was dismantled and Matthew lied and said my car took 6 quarts of oil when it’s a 4 cylinder engine.

      Parts/Service I took my car into the parts/service on Nov. 5 for rattling and jerking on my 2016 Chevrolet Equinox. I asked Denny to run a diagnostic testing to see what was going on with my car. He called me back to say that they will do a new oil change and start an oil consumption test. I went into the service department 6 times from 11/5/2022 until 1/27/2023 to resolve this matter to see what was going on with my car. On 2/17/2023 my car broke down, and I later received a call to say that my engine went out. Now, no one wants to cover the expensive of replacing the engine. Power train warranty is stated that they are denying my service, due to lack of maintenance. When I’ve been getting oil changes on the car. I have all the receipts for those, and freeland service center and GM motors aren’t not trying to help with the cost of the engine repair. When I was told that GM would help cover the cost, after they received my oil consumption test, which was suppose to be sent in Jan. and those results were abnormal. This is very unprofessional. The service department didn’t acknowledge the fact that my timing belt needed to be fixed, and instead has caused major damage to the engine. I will be filing a claim for court. I have all my receipts for all the services I received, and all the times I went into the service department, not to mention for me being suspended from my job, due to my car bringing down on my shift at work. I’ve put my trust in Freeland for years, and to be treated this way, is unconscionable.

      I just wanted to say thank you to the Assistant Manager Greg, service manager Sean, and Cyni with the service department for helping with this process. After, looking at all the services completed with the Freeland Service department. They are willing to help with repair of my engine.

      I have been a customer for years and GM retiree, but every since my son purchased his 2021 trailblazer, we have had nothing but problems with them. He purchased a little piece for his light and they said they could put it on. Picked up the car with the front fender panel sticking out and a gap between the piece they put in and the light. They claim we brought the car in that way. .In the first place, they should have told us they do not have a body shop. So why are you replacing parts on a car. I have been a customer for years but not anymore. You can have the money you had us pay.
