Nature of Dispute: Top Notch did the initial work. We were told that they would come back and finish the job when we had the electrical work completed. I wasnt sure if I should pay the full amount but they assured me that it was a quick job and they would be back. They left the architectural shingles to finish the job but they took my soffit material that I bought and cut it to fit. It was needed to replace the missing pieces. After the electrical work was completed, we called them and were told they would come out before the end of the week. They did not show. We called them time and time again/ They kept saying they would come back. After several weeks they said they had Covid for a couple of weeks, but they would come out before the end of that week. I called the next week and was told that she would call back when ***** came home after talking to him. This happened again the next week. Since then, after several calls by us they would not return our and we left messages. My sister had another roofer come out and look at the roof. He said it would cost $2000 to finish the job. We are retired and on fixed income. I see several complaints on ******** where they seem to target elderly people. So, after all of these months not only will Top Notch not come back or answer our calls. they even took the soffit material I purchased and cut. Desired Resolution: Finish the job and return the soffit material they took or pay us $2000 to get someone else to complete the work.Date of Transaction: Contract Signed 6/08/2022 Total Amount Paid: $8480.18 as listed on the contract contract. Receipts show paid in full. Top Notch agreed to:********************* co-owner ***** House **** ********************************************************************. We both own one half of the property.Remove all existing shingles down to the decking.Properly clean all wood decking.Remove approx. 12 linear ft. of damaged decking and approx. 12 linear ft. of damaged wood facia. The rest is listed in the estimate.
