Horrible company. The automatically put a lien in your name for MVA or attorneys are involved. I paid a bill twice by mistake 3 years ago only to find lien in my name for the same account paid. I called their lien department for 2 days only to get voicemail. Noone called me back as of yet. Other Rep hung up on me 3 times after realizing the nature of the call. Now I have to seek legal advice for a bill I paid twice in order for this company to provide update info for the county to rectify the lien at this point.

PASI had a lien unit manager call her on 11-14-24 after receiving a message to call her, and the manager talked to her about her account and issues she had, fulfilled all her requests, and stayed on the phone until she received what she wanted, and she was satisfied with our help. The manager told her he would also email her a release of the lien on the 15th, which he did, and received her reply on the 15th that she received it.

This place called my cell, left no voicemail, phone flagged it as spam about the matter on my phone then 15 min later called my work place asking for me, which is illegal in my state during work hours. You going to do something about this matter or is it going to be brushed under the rug?

PASI follows all state laws and has the consumer's work number blocked from any other calls on the accounts in question as of 11-6-24 when we spoke to the consumer via an inbound call from him. If he ever has any questions, please feel free to call our Customer Service Department at 866-450-0044.

PASI sent us a letter concerning a so called past due bill for my daughter. After investigating the bill, I determined that the bill had been paid in full more than a year ago. I had a representative from my insurance company call PASI with me to confirm that the bill had been paid and we had an EOB as proof. The PASI rep didn’t care and told us we would need to talk to the provider. I then sent in a dispute to PASI and quickly received a response telling me that they had met their obligation to validate the debt signed by Director. I talked with the provider and they said we owe nothing. I also spoke with the provider’s accounts receivables group and supplied them with an EOB showing the bill was paid. They had marked it as due as part of our deductible which was a mistake on their part and is being resolved. I called PASI again and asked to speak to the Director since the customer service couldn’t do anything (exact quote). The nice lady took my name and number and allowed me to send her a copy of the EOB. After 3 full days, I have yet to receive a return call from the Director or one of his assistants. I have to say that I get the distinct impression that this company isn’t interested in resolving an issue but only wants you to pay them even if you provide proof that the debt is not valid.

In early May, 2024, I received a letter from Professional Account Services, Inc. (PASI) stating that it was “communication from a debt collector in an attempt to collect a debt…” The “Total Patient Balance” was $172,032.03 for medical services provided on December 14th, 2023. I immediately found evidence from my insurance company (*****) that it had submitted payment for the services later that month, leaving me with a balance of $1,318.12. I also verified that payment had been submitted to and approved by the medical facility. I called PASI on May 9th to inform them of the payment to and settlement by the medical facility and informed the representative that I would pay my balance once I received a proper bill for it. I also inquired about why I would get a debt collection notice for $172,032.03 five months after the issue was closed. The representative said that he could not explain that. I am of reasonable intelligence and sometimes skeptical of requests for money or personal finance information. In this case, if PASI turns out to be legitimate, my only advice to it would be to be a LOT more careful in reviewing their data before sending it’s intimidating and frightening demand for such a huge, but mistaken, amount of money.

    Professional Account Services, Inc.

    Date: 05/10/2024

PASI is indeed legitimate, and we have only shown a balance of $1318.12 since we received your account on 3-24-24. You are referencing our initial letter, which by law, has to show the balance at the time of service plus any payments or credits up until the day we send our initial letter. Below all of that is a "total amount of the debt now" which shows $1318.12. We have that initial letter as you returned it to us and referenced that you only owed $1318.12 and requested some more information so the part in this review about reviewing data carefully and sending intimidating and demanding bills is perplexing as all the information in it was correct and followed the law. We then sent you an itemized statement as you requested. We see you called our office yesterday, 5-9-24, and have set up a payment plan, and a letter detailing that plan will go out in the mail to you today. We hope this has all helped, and if you have any further questions, please call us at 866-450-0044.

Professional Account Services has been contacting me repeatedly. I have requested that they send verification of the account to my current address and to no longer contact me via phone until they have done so. Today, 12/21/23, I have received another phone call (from a number using my local area code) and the lady I was making the request to interrupted me to say she will call back another time, then hung up.

    Professional Account Services, Inc.

    Date: 12/22/2023

PASI first tried reaching the consumer on 12-21-23, and the person on the phone wouldn't identify herself as for security not only for the consumer but to follow laws so the call was ended. A few minutes later PASI received an inbound call and once again the person failed to identify herself. We must deduce from this review that it was the consumer on the phone both times. Our initial letter is on the way, and we hope this will help verify why we called. If the consumer would like to call our Customer Service and properly identify herself, we may also provide her with the reason for our call and assist in any way possible. That number is 866-450-0044.

So this is obviously a blatant lie, since you are not able to identfy who left this comment. PAS has been contacting me for much longer than since 12/21/23. I have asked each time for PAS to send me a verification of account to the address on file. There is no need for me to identify myself for PAS to do this. For months, PAS has neglected to send the letter, but continued to contact me, which is illegal. PAS is playing a dangerous game in harassing consumers.

I had follow up mammogram on May 25. Set up payments with ******* that day on amount my insurance didn’t cover. Automated payments of $30 set up starting June 9 and it’s now September 21 and I have made 4 consecutive documented payments totaling $120 to *******. *******  turned my account over to this collection agency Called this place to try to have intelligent conversation that this was a mistake on ******** part. Lady started screaming at me and wouldn’t even let me speak. I have done the right thing and I am being harassed by this company, that won’t even let me explain. Will be contacting a lawyer if they try to contact me again,

    Professional Account Services, Inc.

    Date: 09/26/2023

There was no screaming on the account by the PASI collector. In fact, the customer called the collector a curse word as she was trying to explain why the account was with PASI. We have placed the account on a cease communication as the customer doesn't want to hear from us again. If the customer would like an explanation of why the facility turned the account over to PASI, we will be more than happy to explain, and she can call our Customer Service Department at 866-450-0044.

Trying to collect from me an obvious false or medical coded wrong payment when I have contacted my insurance company and they said it went to appeals and that services were covered. The bill was turned over by ***** ******* Hospital in Foley, AL since I never paid for these false services. The only thing I should have been billed was the copay to the doctor as that was done my OFFICE visits were just that, not in a hospital setting. Also tried to call PASI and number on the letter Connor reach their office. They did no investigation into my dispute letter.

    Professional Account Services, Inc.

    Date: 07/05/2023

Dispute was investigated and answered. Per ***** *******, the remaining balance is patient responsibility/copay and was explained to this patient per the hospital notes of 5-17-23. PASI has had the same 1-800-755-5152 for years and can be reached there for any further questions.

I call the 888 number listed on the mail I received and it hangs up on me at 3 min 28 sec. It does not allow me to leave a message. I contacted their customer service number listed on several complaints below and left a message. I also sent an email with my contact information. I am awaiting contact back from them. The hospital I was treated at has the correct billing information, so I should no longer receive these letters. Please fix your message services attached to the 888 number listed on your mail. I am not impressed with your lack of professional phone services for someone who has been in business for 30+ years. It shouldn't be this difficult to contact a business.

31 May Called back, representative tried looking up my number and couldn't find a record with it. I attempted to explain my complaint was about the phone number not staying connected to leave a message. He said he wasn't going to help me and hung up. I did get my account with you sorted, but it shouldn't have taken weeks off trying to call to do that (granted I didn't call every day those weeks, but I did call multiple times). I handled the account first through the hospital billing department and then 30 May I finally reached your company. All I ask is you please fix your number's messaging service. The rep I talked to on 30 May said I wasn't the first to mention that.
