I need an MRI of my shoulder ASAP because of a rotator cuff injury. My insurance messed my account and changed me to another county without asking me. By the time I requested they change it back it will be another min of 30 days. In the meantime, all drs and orthopedists in my insurance refuse to see me. My friend who is a doctor told me that I need to take care of this right away. I was able to get an order for an MRI, scheduled it and paid MD Save. Now, they called me one business day before the appointment to tell me "they have to cancel it and refund my money because the provider is not in their network". How can this be? Dont they have to honor what they offer once you pay for it? I am very upset. btw i still dont see the refund on the card.MDsave, Inc. Response

We have researched this complaint with our provider partner. Education has been performed at the site level with this provider. They did inform us that the patient has been rescheduled to be seen this week. The voucher was cancelled on 4/12, when the patient requested it be cancelled and the refund was also processed. I confirmed that the refund went through on our end and was told that it could take five business days for it to show up on her credit card. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.Review from Angela B

Had Knee Replacement Surgery and I needed Physical Therapy exercises. MDsave was recommended by a Hospital Service Representative for Outpatient if I am Budget Limit. I couldn't afford in Home so I went Outpatient and MDsave came out very reasonable for my budget. Services and paperwork was taken care of at the **** ***************************** area and they're Great Physical Therapist to work with. Would not recommend to anyone! Have been calling them for months about a bill I have gotten that was in the contract to be covered. They never call back when they say they will and now if I don't just pay it, my credit will be ruined as it is going to go to collections.MDsave, Inc. Response

First off, I am so terribly sorry to hear that your experience with MDsave hasn't been top notch. We are crushed that we were unable to provide you with reliable, stress-free service, and we would love to chat more about what we can do to help.
For context on your situation, an alternate, non-contracted provider performed the physician component of your service. This meant that we had to reach out retroactively to contract with them, and unfortunately, this specific provider was repeatedly unresponsive despite several follow-up attempts by our Nashville-based Support Team. While we've now heard back, we're still waiting for the provider's payment to post. Our team members have urgently requested that the provider, ************, escalate your case and post payment as quickly as possible, and your account with ************ has been put on hold so it will not go to collections. Sadly, there's not much else we can do.
We'll follow-up with you in two weeks, as we want to do everything we can to get this situation resolved for you. We're so sorry that it happened, but sadly much of this is outside of our control and the resolution ultimately lies with your hospital. We hope you understand how hard we've tried (and are continuing to try) to rectify this for you.

A scale of 1 to 10, it would be 10. My doctor office made it so easy, no stress, less money. It saved me 75% to be able to use MDSave I paid my portion they took care of the rest!. I think more people should be aware thus service is available , it might make a difference saving a life, seeing a doctor for a health issue or not going, due to cost. I thought this would be great, boy was I wrong. Shortly after paying my voucher and getting my labs completed I get a bill from the lab. It's in an amount close to what I paid to MDSave. I contact MDSave and ask what's going on and for 3 months I get the run around. At one point I'm told oh I'm sorry I've been away. Umm well have someone else working on things maybe. It's now been 3 days since my last email I've sent them and no contact. I ended up having to pay the bill because I didn't want to go to collections which I expressed to them over and over in emails I've sent them. I feel like I've been scammed. I'm glad other people have had good experiences but I don't believe it for a second. I would avoid using these services if you are thinking you will pay what they tell you and that's it. The are horrible at communicating. I'd give them no stars if I was able.MDsave, Inc. Response

First, I'd like to express how truly sorry my team is that this happened. We're disappointed that our communication with you left much to be desired. While we have been diligently working behind the scenes with the lab company that has been sending you bills, we failed to communicate those efforts to you and keep you updated on the situation. We're still working on getting a settlement for you (and the other patients who have been incorrectly billed by this lab), but we recognize how frustrating it was for you to not know what was going on and why you were being billed for anything. The bill was issued in error, and recognizing that you have already paid it, we will be issuing you a full refund -- for the incorrect bill and your original purchase amount. Additionally, we are working on implementing several process improvements to our internal communications workflow to ensure this doesn't happen again -- to you or any other patients.
We always aim to deliver exceptional customer service, and I am gutted that we weren't able to live up to these expectations for you. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and we commit to doing everything we can to do better next time.
