BUYERS BEWARE!! DO NOT BUY HERE!! I purchased a 2013 Land Rover LR4 from them in December. When I went to test drive the vehicle they were working on installing a new part and told me it would take a few hours. Considering I had drove a long way, we just went to a nearby shopping complex until it was ready. Once ready I went back and test drove the vehicle, there was still a service light on the vehicle that the sales rep and manager both told me had to be cleared by a Land Rover specialist/dealer. However, they assured me that the issue had been resolved. I set up an appointment to get the light cleared per their statements, however the dealerships were booked out for a few weeks. The dealership informed me that the issue had not been resolved as I was told and that the issue was in fact a much bigger problem. Also the part that they had replaced was a USED part and it was defective. I contacted the dealership to see if they would help and the sales rep refused to contact me. The manager **** told me that they had no interest in helping me. He said "we fixed what we thought the problem was and we sold the vehicle as is". Even though they blatantly told me that the issue with the car was fixed and that the only thing it needed was for a Land Rover Dealer to clear the code! I WILL BE PURSUING THIS FURTHER! I have attached a photo of the rear suspension (that they “replaced”) completely destroyed on my Land Rover.Business response

******, it appears that this vehicle was purchased 12/21/2022. Which is over a year and a half ago. It's unfortunate that you didn't have good results with a preowned vehicle. Zoom Motor's doesn't have manager named **** and hasn't since the opening. I did pull your deal and I have attached two documents. One is the Buyer's Guide AS-IS that was signed by ******. Which states the vehicle is As-Is without any dealer warranty. There is also a We Owe that is signed by ******. This states that nothing was owed to him after his purchase. Thanks!Customer response

They respond to every issue with the same blanket statement that a vehicle is sold as is. However, a dealership has the ethical responsibility not to lie to their customers about the condition of the vehicle. As well as to not state that they’ve repaired something, that they in fact, have not.
Sincerely,

I bought a 2016 Mercedes Benz from Zoom Motors 2 months ago, and have paid more money on car repairs than payments. There were no warning lights on when I drove off of the lot, however that evening the Auxillary battery warning came on. I had the battery replaced, which costed a couple hundred dollars. The next day, I had to replace the push to start button because it stopped working and I was having to pull the cover off and use the key to turn the car on. Not even a week later, another battery warning popped up, and it has been a nightmare ever since. The engine started turning off while I was driving, which is not only extremely unsafe but it caused the radio, heat, AC, and heated seats to turn off. I couldn’t afford to have it fixed immediately so I was driving to work at 5am freezing the whole way. I finally had the main battery replaced which costed *** dollars, just for the warning to come back on a couple of days later. This time, it was the same battery but it said “stop your vehicle”. I took it to a repair shop and they charged *** more dollars to “register the batteries” to the car, and the next day the warning came back on. I am now without a vehicle or way to work, and the dealership is going to try to replace the 2 batteries but they don’t have availability for another week, and I’m afraid even with spending **** *** **** dollars the issue will just come back after a day or two. Another issue with the car, is that the sticker on the inside says “next service due at 93,800 miles” however, my car that has 91,000 miles, says that the service is 13 days past due and there is no oil in the car whatsoever. I don’t think this car was looked at before it was put on the lot for sell, and now within 2 months of owning it I’m about to be without a vehicle and sitting on a 16,000 loan for nothing.Initial Complaint

On 12/19/22 my boyfriend and I went to zoom motors and traded in a 2020 Ford Edge for a 2016 Honda Odyssey and a 2009 Toyota Camery. Not only the salesman, Tyler ****** but also the sales manager, Cameron ******* "assured" us multiple times that "all of the big problems on both of the cars had been taken care of." We were also told we needed to put $1000 down in order to get approved for the second car loan on the Camry. After reviewing the paperwork after signing, I saw the $1000 down went on the Honda. Zoom motors did not collect the payment on 12/19/2022 and called the next day to have us pay over the phone. The same day 12/20/2022 discussed issues with both cars and were told after we had them looked over to send them the information that was found. I am currently 8 months pregnant and expected to not put only my self, my unborn child, my 2 year old and my boyfriend in safe cars especially when being told they completed a full inspection on both cars. On the Camry, one tire was bulging and rotted, another had a nail in the side wall, the right control arm broken, and all the fluid in the car was gunky. As for the odyssey, the motor mounts were busted, both front tires have wires showing, all brake pads and rotors rusted and pitted. After we sent in this information, on 12/22/2022 they sent me a $500 check and an email from Cameron ******, the sales manager, stating "I know that you have not asked for anything, but just so you know, we are sending you a check for $500 for you inconvenience." A kind gesture but that $500 check would not even cover the cost of the front tires for the Honda. After talking back and forth on email, a conversation finally took place over the phone where Cameron ****** told my boyfriend that I chose to shop there and that he did not ask me to come shop there and they did not have to do anything to help us, but they did. Them sending this check implied there is a warranty, and they were accepting responsibility for an as is sale. On 1/23/23, we noticed a loud banging and ticking noise and took it back to the dealership to be looked at. When pulling into the parking lot of the dealership automatically the mechanic said it was the timing belt. The Honda's timing belt should have been serviced around 100k miles but the Honda was at 135k so we assumed, as did Zoom Motors, it was already completed. We took it to a 3rd shop two days later to have a second opinion and they stated if we drove it two more miles, we would have needed a new motor from the timing belt snapping. We repaired the timing belt, brake pads and rotors, tires and had a transmission service completed on the Honda and replaced the bulging tire on the camry thus far. When we arrived on 2/23/23 to pick up the Honda it was stated the transmission is throwing a code and will need to replace the transmission. It is currently sitting at the shop still and waiting for a specialist to pick it up today. On 2/23/23 I requested a copy of the as is paperwork because I did not receive any in the packet copied for me I noticed the "as is" buyers guide was signed with my name. However, the first two pages I did not sign of this agreement but the last couple pages I did. As well as, they wrote on the as is agreement that I paid $10,995 for the Honda when that is not the price on the contract. I currently am looking at paying 10-13k for repairs for a vehicle I bought two months ago and have not left the shop nor been able to be driven. I have spoken with Cameron and Nick numerous times and Cameron stated I was trying to get money from them. I have asked for the service director and owner to call me numerous times but can not seem to get in contact with them and keep being told they are going to tell you the same thing I did by Cameron.Business response

BBB of Greater East Tennessee,
We regret the customer is unhappy with their purchase. Vehicle inspections were completed on both the 16 Odyssey and 09 Camry. The customer test drove both before purchasing. The customer also had to opportunity to get each vehicle looked at by an outside service facility if they chose. Attached you fill find the As-Is Purchase Agreement with multiple signatures, as well as the customer's signature for declining to purchase a vehicle service contract.
Thank you for your time. If you should need more information, please feel free to contact me.
