      I found out that my home required more panels than what was decided on by Design 1 Solar. The panels were installed on the dark side of my home limiting the amount of daily energy created. My home actually required 28 panels instead of the 14 installed. The photo attached was where my panels were supposed to be installed. They were installed on the back side roof of my home. The installers were brand new to solar installation.

      We were told they would repair the system if needed . And we are supposed to have a 25 year warranty!

      I bought some panels from D1G and was somewhat impressed and bought approximately 20K more. They have not delivered it and now I believe my panels are not even producing any electricity. I have tried to contact them but without results.

      Design 1 Group's conduct has been nothing short of infuriating. Their deceptive tactics regarding the tax benefits associated with solar panel installation, promising an additional $12,000 on taxes only to reveal it's a tax credit, is a blatant attempt to mislead and manipulate customers. This misinformation has not only caused financial strain but also shattered trust in their integrity. The egregious delays in the installation process are beyond unacceptable. Waiting over a year for installation, followed by additional months of troubleshooting, is an insult to the initial timeline commitment of six months. Their blatant disregard for customer time and convenience is utterly disrespectful. Moreover, their failure to honor the promised rebate despite repeated inquiries is maddening. Over 20 calls made over the span of a year, each met with empty promises and deflections, have left me feeling not just frustrated, but outright betrayed. The fact that the company has now mysteriously closed its doors only adds insult to injury. To make matters worse, I am now saddled with a loan of over $50,000 for a system that has failed to deliver on its promises. Despite these glaring issues, Design 1 Group has made no effort to rectify the situation or offer any form of compensation for the distress and financial burden they have caused. It's time for Design 1 Group to be held accountable for their actions. Immediate action is needed to recover the owed rebate, seek restitution for the financial and emotional turmoil caused, and demand transparency regarding the closure of the company.

      This was a door-to-door sales pitch about solar power. They promised alot of things but none of what was promised has been delivered. I am not seeing a decrease in my energy bills, in fact those bills have increased. I have not received the rebate that was promised to me and despite multiple efforts to communicate with the business they are not responding. I am paying for solar panels that appear to be useless and non-functional. The panels were installed in November, 2023 and I have yet to see any savings on my electric bills. The rebate was promised to be delivered to me 7-10 business days after completion of the work which would have been the end of November. As of today, April 18, 2024, I still have received no rebate and still see no savings on my electric bills.

      D1G seems to have evaporated into thin air. Now, the 25 year warranty I was promised (and, for which I signed a contract) on my water heater as part of our D1G installation package cannot be utilized. I had to call A.O. Smith myself, register the warranty for the water heater (D1G never did), order a top heating element, have it shipped to our local HVAC/plumbing company, and pay $190 to have the local company replace the aforementioned heating element. I tried calling every number I could find to reach D1G to set up service, but none of them work. Neither did FB Messenger, reaching out through Google, or emailing all the "@D1G.solar" emails I had. Our installation package is only a few years old, and this is BS.

      We had Solar panels installed after many months of back and forth and serious communication issues. They claimed there was a "change in staff" and it would get better. After they were installed, the electric bills actually went up and never went down. I have never gotten any credit, even though it says I am producing more energy then I am using. So, it makes no sense. Now, the phones are disconnected and I have no responses to my many email attempts. I sent them my electric bill to show that there is no savings and it's like I am not actually getting credit for the amount of energy I am producing.

      They tore up my roof and it’s leaking. The solar panels are not saving me any money they’re costing me more. They haven’t sent my adjustment checks for not installing some panels and hot water heater.

      Design one Solar, has never did a good job on my Solar. I have complain so many times. This month 02/2024 my electric bill is was very high. ******* and I use wood to heat. I tried to call the owner Chris and no service. I tried his son Josh and same thing. I tried there business phone and not working. I called Mosaic who finance the solar and I was told they were out of Business. No one contacted me and I paid ******* for the Solar and any problems with the service. I am so mad and upset that the Bank and the Owner never contacted me by mail or phone call and I have been paying my bill as agreed. I have stop all payment until the bank get someone to fix my Solar and there after. I have been lie to from Design One Solar. I will not pay a dime until it is fix.       We are not able to contact the company to answer questions about our solar system. The website indicates that the company is temporarily closed. Who are we to contact for service?
