              I saw Dr. **** ****'s NP on 10/17/2023. After my insurance processed the claim, I owed $158.97 per my insurance. I mailed this amount to Dr. ****** office on 3/11/24 - check number ****. The check cleared my bank on 3/25/24. In the meantime, Dr. **** turned me over to a collection agency - Physicians' Business Bureau who keeps sending me threatening letters alleging I owe $124.06. Now, they have threatened me with putting this alleged delinquency on my credit report and with legal action. I've already paid what I owe as Dr. **** is in network with my insurance company. Also, recent changes introduced by the nationwide credit reporting agencies no long place medical collections under $500 on a person's credit. I want my account updated and these people to stop sending me letters.

              Like most collection agencies PHYSICIANS' BUSINESS BUREAU bought this debt after EAST RIDGE EYE CENTER sold it. The debt was rotated through the system several time to get past people like me who has chapter 7 bankruptcy and try to force us to pay an old past debts. The person who run this agency was extremely rude and made racial swears over the phone. Not knowing my ethnic background over the phone was quite weird.
